Make a lot of money by working from HOME!

I watch many late night programs, and late night is the prime time to watch these commercials where they say they have a "proven" system that could make you lots of money, and all you have to do is work from home! Something has got me thinking, why are these people giving these "great secrets" away if they're making so much money. If it was me, I would be a total bastard and not share my money making secrets with anyone! (Hey, just being honest) So obviously they are scams, but if they are scams, and are able to afford TV ads, and radio ads, then just how many idiots are out there who actually buy into the scam? Man I tell you one thing, the only people who are making lots of money working from home are the people who came up with this idea.

Come up with your own money from home program. Market it and advertise it on late night TV. You could be the next late night millionaire.

Edit: One thing I have found in my life is the best information has been free.

This is exactly like an ad I saw in a paper.

"Find out how toget one million people to send you one dollar!
Send 1 dollar to..."

What I find weird, is that these scams are legal enough to advertise on TV.

You could and why not? I have worked or owned some type of business since I was 12. I started with paper routes and mowing lawns. I made a lot of money. Another thing I did in High School outside of running that gambling ring that got me suspended was to do mail order. Now I don't know if this works still but it did in the 80's. I advertised in employment newspapers for a bunch of different programs. All they were is the standard read books at home for cash, run your own mail order business and the other BS out there. I sold it for $10 a pop at the time. Every day I was getting orders for these things. I made a decent amount. The only reason I stopped was when I left for boot camp. However these things can work if done right. You may not make millions but you may be able to supplement your income.

The trick is that they are vague. Also if they send you some "information" then it is considered a product.

They are also very careful not to make promises of specific income.
They always add a disclaimer that says "these results are not typical, you may make more or less".

Why work at home for $30,000 in your first year (results not typical) when you can make millions convincing a bunch of desperate people that they can work at home in their spare time and earn $30,000 in your first year (results not typical)

Anybody can be a millionaire....whether you manage soda machines for 40 years....or convince a couple million get richers to buy your book about managing soda machines for 45 minutes on a late night TV slot

Well, theoretically, you could make a lot of money using all of these schemes...the only problem is that it's exceptionally difficult, financially unstable, and prone to a lot of problems. That's why they say "results not typical" alongside other disclaimers; that way, they're able to make extraordinary claims without legal risk.

I did one of these "scams" (I use the quotation marks since this particular adventure- a Multi-Level Marketing venture- did fall on the right side of the law despite flirting with the edge) myself and noticed- after the fact- that a lot of the "work discussion" and promotion involved getting money, with very little discussion on the product itself. It's almost as if this magical product is capable of growing money off of trees. Ever since then, I've been very wary of anyone who goes out of their way to advertise how much money one can make at the company while treating the product as an afterthought, because chances are the odds of success won't be as high as you think they will (or should) be.

It's not so much that they are all scams, but that in order to make it work, you have to work like 120 hours a week for 2 or 3 years and even then you might not actually make much more than you could working 40 hours a week at work.

Mostly they are direct sales, they mask that and say you are "getting people to make money for you" which is basically selling your family and friends another monthly bill, that you will tell them they can get other people to pay too, if they solicit their family and friends.

The newspaper ones are mostly scams, nobody in their right mind is going to pay you "thousands a month" for assembling toys or stuffing envelopes.

I went to a meeting once for a MLM, they kept talking about "rich people have multiple streams of income" which I have found true for the most part, however they were trying to sell their business as "multiple streams of income" because you could both sell the products through direct marketing and also make other people your bitch who would sell products through direct marketing........this is NOT what I mean by multiple streams of income, you need two completely unrelated jobs.

"...but the product's so good, there's no reason why you should fail- unless you aren't trying" I never understand why MLMers never seem to grasp that they're salespeople and sales is FAR from a can't-lose proposition- it's very much a "high risk, high reward" type proposition, where, in too many cases, the risks are too high for any rewards.

Did they parade the usual "star performers" who all claimed to make astronomical amounts of money with absurdly little effort yet devote little time to the product or even the actual job description? That's what I remember most from mine- everything (except the dubious claims to money making) was kept from me until I "got in".

I have the best idea yet.

Get people send you three dollars to get a video telling them how to get their investment returned by 100%.

Simply put you send them three dollars and then have the movie tell them to sell the movie to their friends for double the price.

It will be great for causing mass chaos and disorder, while also giving you a good chuckle and a couple of nice dolalrs in your pocket for every movie they sell.:p

It has nothing to do with idiocy. It's just that 3 in the morning is a good time to advertise to the jobless, depressed, or overall desperate people who are willing to try anything to change their lives. Even the most intelligent people do irrational things when they are desperate enough. It's no different from any other self help books involving diet/weight, relationships, emotional wellbeing, etc.

If you ask me, I find it more ridiculous for people to buy into "diamonds are forever" than "a chance to change your life".
