Have you decided who you will be voting for in the upcoming primaries or are you still undecided? btw, I finally decided who I will be voting for.

For the demopcratic primary: Hillary.
For the republican primary: a rock from my garden, as I feel it is possible to do much worse than no decisions whatsoever.

In Michigan, the primary is purely symbolic, since both parties have taken away all delegate representation from my state for scheduling an early primary without permission of the bosses (long, tedious story). So, since I don't have to do any calculations "Gee, if I vote for a minor candidate rather than someone who could stop Hilary (or whoever you think needs stopping)" I'm going to vote for Kucinich. He has no chance, and probably wouldn't be all that good if he did get in, but has spoken more of the truths that I want heard than any of the others.

I thought the Republicans were still giving us full representation and the Democrats half, or do I have it completely wrong?

edit: Apparently the Republicans are giving us half and the Democrats none at all. Bastards, the lot of them.

I hope if we have any Iowa Democrats they've decided. And that their vote will go for a Mr. Obama.

I can't really say-on the Democratic side, the choice seems to be between the Annointed One, a small-time "Boss Hogg" style piece of work, and someone whose political career consists of winning a Chicago election as a Democrat against an out-of-towner whose campaign consisted of the "Don't Let This Happen to You" chapter of the Introduction to Politics textbook, while the Republican field greatly resembles the Democratic line-up of 1980, where the candidate will have to be fingerprinted for ID as they're all unrecognizable, except for Guiliani, who I don't see as a viable candidate-the man's political career was dogmeat before Sept. 11th, which is something no one seems to remember.
I'll probably go with Huckabee-he's got the grassroots support it will take to win what promises to be a lackluster campaign year.

Well, I'll be voting in the Democratic primary (my state lets you choose which primary you want to vote in), and I'll be voting for Mike Gravel.

Does he have a chance, well statistically he has a small one, but generally, no, but he's the only candidate that I agree with the most.

That depends on how your state does things. We don't register for a party so we can vote in whatever primary we want. In fact, in 2000 lots of Michigan Democrats voted for McCain because they thought Gore would have a better chance of beating him.

Yes. I have decided.

Ive decided that every single one of them are douchebags, and none of them should get the job. Ive decided that we havent had a good candidate since 1980.
Ive decided that Im greatly let down by my country's political system, lately.

I registered as a Republican so I could vote for Ernie Fletcher back in November (Kentucky's governor). Undecided about the primaries.

Undecided not because I'm debating which one to pick, but rather "None of the above".

I will vote for my Cat in the Primaries.

She's funny, loving, and adorable. She can warm the hearts of America by simply playing with her stuffed toys. The best part is that she's a cat, so she actually can't do anything, ever, well except act cute! :D

I reject the primary system in its current form itself. It makes the election season far longer than it needs to be and all the states keep bumping up their primaries to compete with everyone else because the primaries are pretty much decided within two to three months of the primary election season.

I heard about that, and I'm seriously unhappy about it. Taking away your delegates is harsh; maybe a fine for jumping the gun, but in a democracy everyone should have a say.

My state's primary happens in May, so ours is pretty much just gravy for whoever the front-runner is because the party will have chosen their nominee by then.

But, I'm doing my level best to see Governor Bill Richardson get that nomination. I'm not waiting for the Oregon primary, I'm going down next month to work on the California campaign and I'm in the phone bank for Nevada's.

Moi, as my official stateside residence is here in Iowa and I will be here on Jan. 3rd.

I won't be voting for anyone in the primaries, as Iowa caucuses instead. However, I will be caucusing on the 3rd, with the Dems. I had considered caucusing Rep. for Dr. Paul, but I don't believe he's viable. Also, I will be caucusing against Hillary as much as I will be for whomever.

I'm officially undecided, but leaning very strongly towards Mr. Obama - Edwards or Dodds would be my other choice. Definitely NOT Richardson (although he might make an excellent Sec. of State....).

Well, but it still affects the minds of other voters. I'm personally rooting for Obama (I am in college in Illinois, so I'm voting in the Republican primary instead; the Democratic one here will be Obama no matter what).
You may not count toward the delegates for bucking the system, but your choice, being earlier will still have a larger effect on the race.

Kucinich. The only candidate who actually is concerned for the interests of Americans and humanity in general.

And though I really don't like him or 90% of his views, I highly respect Ron Paul for standing out from his party of buffoons. I agree with him on Iraq and thats about it. He's way too libertarian and thats not what we need. But I respect the man. All the other Republicans? I've watched the debates. They're all fools.

The Democrats? I had been a fan of Obama but he went to far to the center and away from what I felt he had been doing right. Hillary? I don't want any more Bushes of Clintons. NO DYNASTIES! We need new blood.
Edwards is a decent guy but not doing enough that I like. Richardson is decent too but not good enough. Gravel is good, I'd be happy to see him as Kucinich's VP. Biden? Not good enough. Dodd, not visible enough.

DENNIS ALL THE WAY!
