Musical choices from Mexico

I'm probably going to phrase parts of this wrong, somehow, someway, so, if I do, please don't get mad.

Of recent, I've found myself becoming more interested in music from south of the border, more specifically, music done in a traditional/classical/instrumental way. I don't mind mexican singers, but the main point is, I don't understand spanish at all, and so their words fall on ears that may as well be deaf for all I can understand them, but the rythems, the beats, the harmonies, Its universal, unspoken.

So, that's what brings me here. Do any of you have any clue what I'm talking about, or know what I'm looking for? If you do, could you give me some suggustions?

Links to said albums on amazon.com would be especially helpful.

Well...speaking strictly of Mexican music, and not music from other Latin American countries you have a variety of genres that you might be talking about. The more 'traditional' musics: bolero, ranchera, corrido, mariachi, zapateado, mazurca...or you might be thinking of the more modern styles: danzon, tejano, norteƱo etc.

So really, who knows which style you're talking about? Most likely mariachi/bolero/ranchera music. Check out some Vicente Fernandez for some old style classics. If you just want instrumental music...hmmm, not sure. All I know are singers.

Don't worry, I don't know what I'm talking about either.:D
