And I'm not talking about how much stuff you got.I'm talking about how it was overall. Mine was actually quite good, thanks for asking.

Pretty good. I stayed up al night with my Dad, my uncle and their friend singing our way through all the 60s and 70s rock on my Dad's mp3 player. And drinking lots of wine. Now I'm rather hungover.

It was Christmas? I didnt realize. They really should do a better job about getting the word out on this thing so i dont keep overlooking it.

I studied biomechanics (or however you spell that in English) and afterwards I went to some 'party' (or how do you call parties with your family?). Pretty meh.

I've actually done that before. When I was stationed in Germany I'd go on leave but stay over there, and while I was on leave I'd lose track of the days. I actually didn't realise it was Christmas one year (2001) until I tried to go to the store to get beer and it was closed. It wasn't a happy Christmas that year.

or how do you call parties with your family?

Party works although family gathering may be more appropriate.

Believe me, I'd prefer to be hungover instead of having to study for my exams (although biomechanics are quite interesting). But yeah, I'm much much smarter than you :p.

Yeah, it was more of a gathering than a party :)

although I had some fun, the food wasn't bad considering I'm the only strict vegetarian in my family, we (they) had 'gourmet' which are small pieces of meat on a grill (it might be that it has a different name in different parts of the world, but unfortunately there's nothing you can do about that) but there were enough vegetables to satisfy me, and the wine wasn't bad either. Too bad only a few people are interesting in my family though.

It was good. Christmas is the ONLY time I get to see most of my family. But by the end of the day I was tired (had to play Santa, also was up at 6 in the morning)

Sounds like a major problem was the wrong Gran was in the hospital

Good and bad. It was nice to see my family, but I couldn't help thinking of my friends. I think we all had a difficult Christmas this year. I still miss my friend so much ... :(

It was GREAT. We are at our son's house in Louisiana and Christmas eve we had 11 people, nine dogs, four cats and one guini pig here. Needless to say, with all that body heat we didn't need to run the heater. :) We got up in the morning and opened more presents than Wal Mart has in inventory. :) We had oyster stew for breakfast (my daughter-in-law's family tradition) and later a big dinner with turkey, ham, and all the fixins.

Was good, but also sad. My first Christmas without my son (he died earlier this year). :(

It was OK. The tree fell on my dog, my girl almost caught on fire, and it turns out that one of my friends I invited over was a devout Jew.

Nice... had dinner at my brother and sister-in-law's, which was leftovers from the dinner they had the night before at his in-laws' house. Drank a little, chatted a little, just hung out... so it was good, over all.

New Years Eve also promises to be fun, as we will spend that at my brother's bar/restaurant.

Excellent. Snuck out (in? - it was closed) to the local golf course for a quick nine (it was 55 degrees and sunny), had a case of beer, got home, and had a turkey.

Good things - The stuff I got. A good deal of it benefited my early retirement fund.

Cool enough; no arguments of note. My aunt and uncle came over for dinner. After the obligatory rounds of showing off, it started to get dull. Aunt and Ma started discussing architects...Frank Lloyd Wright especially... Zzzz!

But the Christmas gathering happens here at home, so I was saved from listening to it by internet access :) Fortunately everyone is used to the fact that I won't pretend to be interested, so I don't get pestered when I log on.

Too bad I don't have a laptop for my mother's birthday, which is celebrated at my aunt's...now THAT will be a total snore...

it was ok... went down to my grandma's and had an ok time. no tree there, and not very festive (she mostly talks about which of her friends or relatives has died recently and how horrible her neighbours are); but we did play monopoly and have a great turkey :)

glitzi and i are going to have our own unofficial 'christmas day' tomorrow :)

Twas extra sweet, I ate more meat than most African nations eat per annum (2 roasts plus an Italian barbecue... All in 12 hours! YEEHAW!), had so many laughs with the girlfriend's cousins, got kick-ass presents, saw the family... oh yeah, it was awesome.

Except for 8 am work the next morning, that is ;)

It was one of the nicest christmases I ever had, really.
Sleeping in, sex, pressies, lovely dinner, no family... just entirely lovely and relaxing.
