Pong is in a category of its own. Comparing Pong with any game or indeed any genre of games is like comparing blue with water.;)

No adventure games option?

RTS/TBS/RPG are my favourite generally, although you get some great FPS games now and then, too.

I like the "sim of any kind" option. Every computer game is a sim of some kind.

but you get to bounce backward and forward. It's so exiting
Actually there is a cheat to unlock balltime but anyone who uses it is tracked by the FBI automatically, (some say it makes the ball go slower but you can work out where it's going to go much faster!, Heretics!)

I like RPG's... but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy a good FPS after a hard's day at work...

espcially PS2's unreal tournament... with the sniper... unlimited bullets... invulerability...

You bastard. i hate those sniping so and so's, i prefer the less thinking more firing the minigun, and don't need to aim, cos you hit everything, it's the best form of equality you know, so i don't just hate you i hate everyone equally.:)

Apples and oranges, you can't compare them. Although I'm personally partial to action-adventures, which aren't on the poll, even though Flight Simulator is, what a crappy poll. No action, no adventure, but two kinds of shooter and two kinds of strategy game.

I usually kill faster with the sniper rifle than the minigun.

but then again, i'll be the one sniping those comming up behind you. :sniper:

EDIT: actually, if I wanna kill really fast, I find the Redeemer and put that to 99 missles...

I like all genres of games, but when it comes down to it in the end i would say the best is the FPS because it is simple pick up and play. unlike an RPG which you have to really immerse yourself and play for hours. An FPS can be played for short and long periods of time and you can still have fun. but i do love RPG's. If i don't have a lot of time to devote to playing games i always pick up an FPS.

Tactical RPG is another one of my favourite genres... but I'm terrible at them, so I guess I could always vote for TBS :D

RPG's are good b/c they can encompass all the other genres in someway. But I play a lot of FPS, and flight sim as well. In fact, I play a little of everything, I play games as I eat: adventurously.

Real time strategies should drop the word "strategy" and replace it with more suitable 'arcade action'.

TBS +/& RPG = FTW

Multiplayer TBS hands down. However the best TBS I ever played had heavy elements of RPG: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stars%21

Uhm... MMORPGs. And maybe TBSs, but I really haven't played anything new, because this new technology - with billions of polygons to display what once used to be a neat 5kb sprite - and my low-end computer, they don't really cope.
