apparently while bush moans of democracy in the middle east, and american style freedom, he wants the lebanese govement to bend over and take it, when he says so
um...that article, while interesting, doesn't mention Lebanon at all.

Actually the pro-American bloc has a slim majority in Lebanon's parliament. I don't see why the will of the majority in this case should not rule.

The majority representation in the government keeps getting smaller because Hezbollah keeps assisanating the Christian pro west members. Let's not always make this a Bush vs. the world issue. I don't like Bush either, but not all bad things in the world is his fault. I was in the marine barracks in Lebanon in 1983 when Hezbollah backed by Iran bombed us. We were there on a peace mission. We didn't even carry loaded weapons. Why as a way to make a statement, to bend the will of the Lebonese people they can push a superpower. Don't be fooled by something you know nothing about. I have spent 12 years living in the middle east in Lebanon, Eygpt, Israel, and Turkey. Enough to gain some understanding of the radical mindset that seems to be so pervasive.
