Like I said from the very beginning - it is not as simple as equating 'overweight' to 'eat-too-much'.
And by pointing out that people can store mass without having ingested calories (water) or useful calories (insoluble fat), you've made that point. We've moved past that.

You keep saying that. How many things must we "move past" in order for you to be right.

"Well, ignoring everything else that could possibly explain one being overweight, then eating is the only reasonable cause." Seriously, this is a completely stupid point.

If you "move past" ever other possible cause for the assention of GWB to President, he was voted in by racists.

"What about Christians?"
"Oh, no, we've already moved past them."
"What about war hawks?"
"Oh, no, we've already moved past them."
"What about people who liked his father?"
"Yeah, we've moved past them, too."

Yes, Llewdor, your argument has no flaws if we ignore all of the obvious flaws. Does that make you feel better?

My energy explanations missed an important point, which was finally pointed out by GnI. Energy isn't the only source of mass in humans.

Was that so hard? I don't see why we needed 20 pages of this.

Amusing. So it's everyone else's fault that you ignored any of a thousand explanations of how wrong you were? Hmmm...

No, because Llewdor can't just accept that he's wrong. First he was kind of wrong about one thing but right about another. Then he slowly morphed the second thing trying to pretend like it wasn't changing. When he finally ran out of room for squirming, he's now saying it's because we didn't explain it right. Apparently, his arguments weren't stupid. You know, because if he didn't understand the arguments of SEVERAL different people, it's clearly us that are the common factor.

This thread died a long time ago, but Llewdor kept shocking it back to half-life. Why, I do not know, but one thing I do know is that he was wrong when he started and has continued wrong throughout. On some level, I thought it would have been better not to respond to his posts after the first time this thread died and was gravedug by him, but then his assertions were so factually wrong, that I understand why you and GnI could not let them sit unchallenged, where others might read them. But it really accomplished very little. He is doing the same thing in Cat-Tribe's Constitutional constructionism thread, btw, and now he has decided to join the Moral Code thread. I sincerely hope that no more threads will end up as this one and CT's have.
