Joe Biden pulling no punches on Bush and Iran

There are two things I really like about Joe Biden. 1. His idea for partitioning Iraq is great and is pretty much what is happening through ethnic warfare. Al Sadr and his militia rule the South, The Kurds rule the North, and the rest is ruled by the green zone and US combat troops. Ooops, I meant the Iraqi government. 2. He's not afraid to come out swinging and always asks the tough questions. Joe Biden calling Bush and his staff incompetent! Woot QFT

Biden, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, called that explanation "unbelievable."

"Are you telling me a president that's briefed every single morning, who's fixated on Iran, is not told back in August that the tentative conclusion of 16 intelligence agencies in the U.S. government said they had abandoned their effort for a nuclear weapon in '03?" Biden asked in a conference call with reporters.

"I refuse to believe that," he added. "If that's true, he has the most incompetent staff in modern American history, and he's one of the most incompetent presidents in modern American history."

Not that I know of.

Israel might have cause to be worried...but the US? The Iranian leadership has no desire to pick a fight with the US, lest they lose power.

GO, JOE, GO!!!! GIVE 'EM HELL!!
I've always liked and admired Senator Biden. He remains one of the candidates I trust the most and from whom I most like to hear. That said, he needs circumstances to change to create a call for him as the nominee. This Iran debacle could be a first step.

That's nothing special in this campaign. There's much political capital to be had in Bush-bashing. Bush was in, now he's out. Frankly, the whole process disgusts me. Where were the people asking tough questions *before* invading Iraq? Voting for it, that's what. Or otherwise not doing anything effective.

I would orally pleasure the entire registered voting public if it meant a ticket with both Obama and Biden on it would win.

Yes, but the difference it seems is the authenticity of Biden when he drops these bombs. For instance, most everyone can see through Hillary's bullshit when she is faking her "passion." You see it in her eyes. You hear it in her voice. She can't completely sell the point because she can't completely sell herself on it first. Hillary is a blatant opportunist. Her counterpoint on the other side of the aisle is Romney. They don't come across as having any real connection to what they say. They are speaking in a language they feel will get them elected. Obama was falling into this trap but seems to have regained a little fire like he first showed when he captivated his party in their keynote address. Being real is the only way to go to get yourself elected.

For all the negative things that can be said about Bush, he is as real as it gets. Unfortunately his type of realness has some pretty negative consequences. He actually believes the words that come out of his mouth. Therefor there are polar opposites drawn out. Most people either like Bush or they don't. There aren't too many people around who you'll find saying, "eh, he's all right."

All politicians worry about "electability" and that is what gets them defeated. That's how we get candidates like John Kerry who get slaughtered. People have to know that you stand for something and believe in what you say. That way they can decide whether they like you or don't. If they don't like you for what you believe then so be it. That's the only part Romney got right in his Mormon speech. The rest of it was just carefully worded BS he thinks will resonate with people. Eventually people see through the smoke, and hey either like you or they don't. Love me or hate me if you will. Just know that if you choose to hate my middle finger is ready and waiting.

I must make note that I loved McCain when he took Romney to task on torture at the youtube debate. Now that's the type of stuff that draws the line for a candidate. Anyone watching that clearly knows where McCain stands on this issue. Now you can use to like him or not for a reason.
