Come on folks, trying to pass a $ 1,000,000.00 note. Hey, criminals are dumb and deserve to be caught.

Man busted after trying to open account with fake $1M bill
AIKEN, S.C. (AP) — A bank teller had a million reasons to deny this transaction.

Police say a man tried to open an account with a $1 million bill, which does not exist. The teller refused and called police while the man started to curse at bank workers, said Aiken County Sheriff's spokesman Lt. Michael Frank.

Alexander Smith, 31, of Augusta, Ga., was charged with disorderly conduct and two counts of forgery, Frank said.

The second forgery charge came after investigators learned Smith bought several cartons of cigarettes from a nearby grocery store with a stolen check, Frank said.

Smith was being held at the Aiken County jail Wednesday, and bail was set at $257. Deputy public defender Kelley Perkins Brown said she did not yet know whether her office would represent Smith.

They should have set the bail at $1 million, just to spite him.

Instead of charging him with disorderly conduct and forgery, we should just make severe stupidity a crime and charge him with that.

Whenever I see a stupid person, I feel extreme rage and want to shoot them.

You would have to be ignorant to shoot someone through a brick wall. Pick your smilies more carefully.

But he could have afforded that. :p

Well, if it was a relatively thin wall (single layer of bricks), and a high powered rifle (say a .50 cal), then it could work. :p

The brick wall clearly has two layers of bricks, and the rifle looks as menacing as a paintball gun.

Ah, I didn't see 2 layers of brick (until you mentioned it, anyways). However, paintball markers don't throw brass casings as they're fired.

As menacing, not that it was.

I'm glad this thread has evolved into something useful.
Someday, I hope I won't have to use white text to show my sarcasm. Someday.

reminds me of one I read a long time ago. a lady look at the grocery store's lotto list and noticed that her ticket was only one number off from the $100 prize. so she altered the ticket and tried to pass it off as the winning ticket. of course she was arrested and sent to jail.

Why was that stupid? Has she looked carefully, her unaltered ticket was the winner of the $500 prize. :p
