Which stocks do you think are going to do best this quarter?
Yes, I know I'm not old enough to buy them, I just take an interest in the stock market. It's all part of the capitalist idealogy.

What do you mean which is going to do best? Which investments are going to rise in value the most, or which are going to pay the highest dividends relative to their cost?

Rise in value.

I'd tell you, but then I'd be guilty of insider trading :)

The SSE is one of the few indexes likely to rise in the last few weeks of the year, but it is unstable and could be a bubble market.

Mining companies - especially in metals you don't really know what they do - like barium.
Chinese IPOs - sell after 1 week, buy 3 months later.
Telecoms in developing countries.
Currencies should be fun - there's no doubt the RMB will rise but is buying the US$ a good investment right now?
It should be.

I actually don't know jack about stocks.

I sold my 100 shares of TRA just a bit ago, but I'm thinking of getting back in. If it hits 40.00 then I'm betting it'll keep going-up.
BTW: If you're under 18 and want to trade stocks, just get a custodian.

Especially on the Dollar. But that's not a stock, that's a currency.

I don't buy individual stocks, it's too risky and I don't have time to pretend to be a day trader.

Buying individual stocks doesn't make you a day trader. I'm not day trader. To minimize risk just put your stops in ahead of time, at about 8% drop in price.

I invest, I am not looking for fast money. I get a return of about 20% per year on my investments, shifting around individual stocks isn't worth my time or money.
