Voyager had good characters?! I mean, it's like asking which patch of mud is the best (Unless of course you're LG who would know).

BTW, your sig is a bit over the limit.

A better thread would be "What's your favorite DS9 character" since that Star Trek actually has things like "Character Development" on all characters, instead of one or two.

The doctor. It's a sad statement when the supposed automaton has more character development than the meat sacks.

The Doctor. Other than that... I don't know. Possibly Kim, or Kes. Chakotay was ok most of the time.

The only thing besides watching Jeri Ryan in a skin tight outfit worthwhile on that show was the one episode w/ the "evil Janeway".

Star trek?? Characters?????

When did that happen?

Btw the best trek series was DS9, but only because they ripped it off Babylon 5 after JMS sent them the plot outline and synopsis when he was bidding to get it made. oddly DS9 came out 3 months after Paramount learned Warner bros picked up B5...

Seven of Nine, hands down. Not because she's "hot", but rather one of the more interesting and evolving characters in the show. Besides, who doesn't like the Borg?

After what Voyager did to the Borg... I don't really like them any more.

The Doctor! I squeed when I saw Robert Picardo on Stargate, even though his character on that show is a weasel.

The best on the list would have to be Chakotay.

I recently picked up season 1 of Voyager and I have to say that of all the Star Trek series', the Voyager characters developed the most personality the fastest. It's kind of hard to pick a favorite. So instead, I will pick 'interactions'.

The interaction between Kes and the Doctor(she being the first to really recognize him as a person), and the interaction between Neelix and Tuvok were some of the best parts of the show.

yeah the Doctor was the best... why isn't he there...

Janeway was a strong character. 7 of 9 was curious to watch, although sometimes there would be inconsistencies, Harry Kim has evolved very little.

Worst character i would say is either kes or chakotay. Kes was just a bad actor and bad storylines, chakotay was good actor but his stories were terrible. Ok we get it, he's native american, you dont have to remind us every season with a "hoochie coochie" chant.

totally agree. the development and interaction between the Doctor and 7 of 9 is also a good one. they're both trying to find themselves as people. its interesting how that's a running motif in star trek: data trying to find his humanity, spock kinda ditto. i guess Odo in DS9 counts as well.

but the sparring between Tuvok and Neelix (and Tuvok vs Paris) makes me laugh :D

i love how, in Voyager, so many of the characters start off as an almost blank slate: the Doctor activated for the first time, Harry Kim fresh out of the Academy, Tom Paris reinventing himself after a troubled past, 7 of 9 becoming an individual... i love to see these characters develop and know them from the ground up, as it were :)

I'm not sure. Everybody else is pretty much meh, except the villians. But one of the best quotes ever:

"This is it. My brilliant existence cut short. No time to stop and smell the roses. No time for...sex."
- EMH Mark 2 (The other guy), in the episode where the Doctor has to defeat the Romulans.

7, hands down. Though the doctor is well close to second for me.

BTW, why the hell are we even talking about VOY or DS9? TNG was the best, minus Wesely of course... I mean, introduction of Q, the Borg, data, need I say more?

I concur most heartily. Voyager = 'Nagged in space'. Jesus, it would be like being stuck in a boat with your maths teacher....for 7 years....I would have throttled Kes first, then Neelix. Harry would be tied into a holodeck program of a turkish prison until he developed some balls, or the grim alternative.....No...even that wouldnt save it......
