Anyway, what's everyone listening to lately? I've been listening to a lot of industrial stuff. Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy, that kind of thing.

Heavy Metal. Stuff from the 70s and 80s is my preference, but I also like Pantera, Rammstein, and some other stuff. Also, despite having never heard them before last wednesday, I have been able to listen to nothing but System of a Down since then.

A lot of Brand New, Kevin Devine, Thursday and the Smiths at the moment.

I am getting into 8-bit as well though. It's crazy stuff when drunk.

mainly hip-hop really, I've never thought I would start listening to that. But Dälek, deltron 3030 and most of the anticon label is pretty good. I've also listened some to the new record of devendra banhart and a lot of other stuff I can't remember.

I used to hate Slayer. Now, I think they're amazing. Then again I used to hate Pantera and Motorhead, so it appears my tastes just become progressively heavier over time. At the moment I dislike Death Metal. I wonder how long it will be.

Depends. Some death metal isn't ultra heavy. Early Morbid Angel is pretty much thrash metal with growly vocals.

today i listened to Sepultura on a big fat PA system, real loud. had to stop after a bit because it was making my stomach vibrate and feel sick :)

then i played my drums through it

Right now, a lot of Christmas music. I dig 24-hour holiday channels. Plus it calms you down when you're driving in bad weather.

Has anybody ever listened anything by Neutral Milk Hotel - as they must have one of the worst names ever I am intrigued to see how bad they sound plus one of their recordings is based on Anne Frank's diary?

Judas Priest, Rush, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Dio, Blue Murder, Pat Travers. That's mostly it.

At the moment I often find my self switching between Symphonic, doom, folk, and death metal, with doom metal being my favorite of the four.

Anyone heard of Kaizer's Orchestra? I really like them, but my favorite band is still Lacuna Coil.

Well, I think my most recent purchase was Arch Enemy (http://www.myspace.com/archenemy)'s latest album.

I've been listening to Sonata Arctica's new album in anticipation of their show in February *luff*

Other than that... One concert after another! WOO! HIM, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Sonata Arctica, Nightwish... etc.
