What do you know about the AC3 filter?

So I have a problem - some video files of mine aren't playing the audio, and it turns out I need the AC3 filter to run them properly. Only snag is, I have a Mac, so it's tricky.
The only clue I have as to how to get it to work is to download the AC3 component and drag that into /Library/Quicktime. Does anyone have any idea where on earth /Library/Quicktime is and how I can drag the component into it? Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Mac - You're too stupid to know what's good for you.

Press the up arrow until you cannot press it any more. There should be a folder called Library, and in it a folder called Quicktime.
Then drag the AC3 filter into that directory.

I hate Macs, bunch of music fascists. I can't put any of my songs on my MP3 player because they're MP4 PROTECTED, meaning I can't convert.
The quickest and most direct way to solve your problem is to take your mac into a field and shoot it repeatedly with a 12-gauge.

Hmm... I find Library, but no Quicktime folder within. Do I just create one or something?

Wait, scratch that - found the right Library folder. *Feels thick*

Hmm... this is puzzling. Component is in folder, but sound is still absent. Whaaaa?

Burn the MP4 protected songs onto a CD, then rip(WMP)/import(iTunes) them into MP3 or WMA format. Easy as pie...pecan pie.

Never had issues with the AC3 on Windows systems.
Actually, try looking for codec packs (for Macs) if you have issues.
