What It means is that if you don't support our troops, then why should they fight for you.....

Why should that annoy you? Its our troops, not you that are serving overseas, so just give your support....its not supposed to be an agressive statement

I never pay attention to bumper stickers, but I have seen the funniest license plate.

It was some 70+ year old guy with a plate that read "STLHUMPN"

...and my parents wonder why we never kept neighbors for more than 6 months. Actually, these neighbors have stayed the longest. According to my mom, it's because I'm at school. They've lasted since the end of my senior year of high school.

More importantly, war caused the genocide in Yugoslavia, politicians were the first to start the process of ending slavery, fascism and nazism generally were the cause of the wars that brought them down (note that Nazi Germany probably would have been ignored if they hadn't gone to war against everyone).

I'm from the UK and I think that bumper sticker is absolutly stupid, firstly the USA is isolated from the rest of the world (geography wise) as it is so far away from other countries, so which country would change the language to theirs? Also the reason americans wouldn't speak another language is because the UK originally colonised the USA including the language.

This is actually very accurate. If it wasn't for soldiers people in the US wouldn't be speaking English, they'd be speaking a variety of languages including Blackfoot, Cherokee, Navajo, Sioux and Hopi to name a few...I'm sure they're all very grateful to be speaking English now and thank soldiers every moment they can.

My "rant" was hardly "Anti-US" and more Anti-Conservative hypocrites who claim the UN is "supporting" Third World despots and tyrants whilst thier own government has for five decades, and currently still is, engaged in providing covert and public support for various dictatorships that have all been terribly detrimental to thier countries in return for economic or military advantage.

Pinochet, Saddam, the Saudi Royal family, Pervez Musharraf even Bin Laden himself are a scant few tyrants that have been, and still are, directly supported by the US government.

And what exactly has the UN done to benefit tyrants and dictators exactly? Oil-For-Food you say? Most corruption cases were actually to do with private US and European corporations using the program. No UN officials have been found guilty of wrong-doing.

Oil-For-Food was a necessary program so that Iraqi family's didn't starve due to the sanctions imposed on thier country.

The UN routinely condemns despotic country's that violate human rights and international law. When they don't it's because they are hamstrung by the Security Council.

Any and all bumper stickers you have to actually read. If the message cannot be conveyed in two words or less it has no place being on the rear end of a car. And even at that, I find bumper stickers annoying. I will never have a bumper sticker. A window cling, though, is another story.

I recently got a tiny little window cling with the Block-O and buckeye leaf, representing my university. 1.5" by 2", and I stuck it in the lower corner on the passenger side rear window.

But i DID notice a difference between "Red Redefined" and "Cherry Desirable". The RR was slightly brighter and a tad more orangish than CD, while the CD was slightly darker and more burgundyish than RR.

I find the entire idea of bumper stickers slightly annoying, especially when the phrases on bumper stickers get turned into actual policy.

Ones that bother me the most:
The magnetic "Support our Troops" ribbons. I find the fact these people aren't willing to put something anymore permanent that a magnet to express their beliefs hilarious. But mostly, I just get annoyed.

"Get your rosaries out of my ovaries!" First of all, this brings up an image which disgusts me ever time I see the sticker. Secondly, I'm annoyed that it attacks not pro-lifers who hold up dead baby posters or who get put on the Supreme Court, but anyone who prays with a rosary.

"Coexist" I don't know why I don't like this one. I agree with the sentiment, and it's a pretty clever graphic. It still irritates me though, maybe it sounds condescending? That's a puzzler.
