Right, so I finally gave into boredom and bought an Xbox 360 with Halo 3. Halo didn't take long to complete... at all... so then I went one step further and bought Xbox Live Gold. And it was good.

But... As I am a massive n00b with the whole Xbox live/Halo multiplayer thing, how the hell do you change your player's colours, emblem, skin et cetera? I have absolutely no idea how to go about it...
All help appreciated!

halo 3 is made of fail. You should play a good game, like call of duty 4. :)

I plan on getting CoD4, but Halo 3 came free with the console. Plus even though I don't like the single player, I love the Halo 3 multiplayer (If I could just find out how to personalize my Spartan >_<).

I imagine it would be the same way you do in Halo 2. Though I'm not sure.

Im not here to argue about Halo 3 (which in fact is made of win:D), but to change your sparten, or elite, ou can press sart (or back, I can never remember), and it will open a menue with an elite holding a shotgun on top. Press the right thumbstick over to the right, and a new menue, that has the option for apperence will be there. You can then choose your armour, colour, and emblem.

Ahh, not you to, why can no one figure this out on their own?! Its so freaking simple I hate to tell it to you because you'll feel stupid after I do, but anyway here goes:

1) Start Halo 3 (duh)
2) At the Start up screen, press the START button on your controller
3) When the primary START menu pops up, move your left analog stick in the RIGHT direction (as in toward's your right hand)
4) Another menu will appear, it is called SETTINGS
5) Scroll down with the left analog sitck (meaning towards you body) until you come across a category called APPEARANCE
6) Press the A BUTTON
7) For each part of your armor you whish to change press A again then scroll through with the LEFT ANALOG STICK
8) If you wish to be a Sangheili (Elite), press the A button when over the part that says SPARTAN and scroll with the left analog stick

Heheh, yeah I got it. For some reason when I was browsing the menus before, I though appearance as something to to with the display settings. I'm so used to the Spartans being edited from the profile menu like in Halo and Halo 2, I had know idea where they'd hidden it this time...

We just picked up that game. All I can say is that online is good times.
