That is incredible.

How does one teach a child so young to remember all those places...? Not to mention their exact locations, because some of them are tiny as hell.

I could teach a dog to do the exact same thing. This is just a Pavlov thing.

Yeah, that, only that I need a good 1000 points to finish. I'm good enough with the somewhat more widely known cities, but the ones I keep getting at L11 are ones I've never even heard of, and just getting the approx. middle of the country in question isn't enough, it appears.. ;( especially when you get, like, five ones from Norway as I did last time around, and are easily 500km off if thos ebuggers are at the 'ends'...On my second attempt, the game fucked me with four Aussie cities in a row on lvl 11... None of which I'd heard of and some of which were on islands off the coast of Indonesia.

you can teach very young children to read, if they are interested enough....and 2 year olds are gluttons for attention.

I taught my youngest all the presidents when she was like 18 months old, I could hold up the picture and she would tell me who it was, who their vice was and what party platform they had........I don't know if any of it made sense to her, she was in it for the applause.

Given that 1/3 of Americans can't point to Canada on an unlabeled map, the fact taht a two-year-old can be taught more about Geography than most Americans know fails to surprise me.:p

What could possibly be off camera that would make a kid do that? I want one whatever it is. Cattle Prod? Remote control with an electrical anal probe on the other end? Hell i dont think a loaded shotgun pointed at her head would make her do that.

Or mom was holding a map and pointing.

That occured to me from the start, so I watched carefully. On several occasions she pointed straight at countries that most kids her age may never even have heard of, without even glancing back at mommy. She clearly knows her stuff. Congrats to her, and to her parents.

I love the way her dad says "Yay Lilly" :p

Shes smart I'm sure. But I'd wager she is recognizing the countries by the colors and shapes. That is still, by far, better than most kids would do. But I do not think she'd be able to locate many.. if the colors were changed.. and especially if the map was broken down into separate parts, changing the looks from what she is familiar with.

Lilly having the parents she does tho, she'll do very well. And she is extremely adorable!

--------

Oh and as for the SC 'beauty queen' .. she wouldn't get nearly the response of support that I've seen on different sites if she wasn't physically attractive. 'It's always tempting to impute unlikely virtues to the cute'

She was the stereotypical dumb ass blonde (probably fake at that). Something I've never bought in to.

I'm sure I'd have more trouble telling Benin and Togo apart if all I had was the shape without its general location.

To be fair, you never know how hard they had to look until they found people who, uh, had that much trouble using their full cognitive potential, and how many scenes with people who had made much better use of theirs they "had to" delete until they got this footage - if those shown are "real people" with "true scenes" at all.

I do as well.. What I mean is if you were to take the map she's looking at, split into 4ths for instance (without cutting through any countries of course) and swap them around, so that they are in a different place in her view.. I'd bet she would have a hard time finding them. Where as if someone just showed you the middle eastern countries .. or a block of Europe or whatever you would know which is what without the entire 'picture'. Know what I mean? lol I could be wrong of course.
