I voted "I approve of most of what he does", but I don't really... I just prefer it to the alternatives. He's far too authoritarian and statist for my tastes--always has been, but especially in the last few years.

I would definitely vote against his proposed constitutional reforms if I had the opportunity.

As Aelosia has pointed out in the past, though, there's a segment of the population that is very right wing, that believes he's going to declare himself the military dictator, and that the only reason he's doing these populist things is because he's building his popularity so he can pull it off smoothly.

I'd say I largely approve of Chavez's Bolivarian Revolution. But I've always got worry at the back of my mind on where it's going. Egh. Any revolution rests on a knife-edge.

I'm not very right wing, and I think that they're probably right, to be quite honest.

Military spending is up a lot, and whilst he might pretend that this is to protect Venezuala against the Yanks, for starters his military acumen would mean that he must know that he can't stop them if they want to attack.

What he can do with his miltary history and now fairly well-equipped army is repress the general population, which I can see happening in about 10-15 years, to be quite honest.

I do not know who chavez is, but I am wildly in love with him, because he looks sexy in his red shirt, and I approve and disapprove of most of what he does. I do not speak english, but I find that poll optionjs in other languages are incredibly racist.

Let's just say that I have more confidence in him than in Bush. As diplomatically impaired as he may be, he hasn't done anything to date that makes him any worse than Dubya.
