Nothing. It's part of what being bored is.

If I'm reading a book I'm being entertained by it, or edified by it. If I am neither, then I stop reading it and go back to being bored. If I'm asleep, I'm tired. If I'm listening to music, watching TV, playing games, etc, I'm entertained.

Bored is how I feel when none of those things have any appeal for me at the moment.

e.g. I'm really bored right now. I've clicked on several of these threads and can't be bothered to respond to any of them (except this one obviously.) There's a novel I've been reading, but don't feel like picking it up right now. I had a late lunch, so I'm not hungry. I'd like to take a shower, but my two-year old is sleeping in the adjacent room, and I'm not taking the chance of waking her up. There's a show I like on, but I feel a bit to ADD to sit through it, so I'm taping it. And 8:10 pm is to early to sleep.

I'm bored. And so as soon as I hit "submit reply" I will be doing nothing.
