We seem to spend a lot of time talking about the guy who has no chance of winning the Republican nomination, but what about the Democrat's version? What do people think of Dennis Kucinich, the anti-shoe-in? (Shoe-out, maybe?) There id a summary of his views, what bills he voted for, etc., here (http://www.vote-smart.org/bio.php?can_id=318).

Only mayor to ever allow his city to default on its debt...that's failure on a massive scale rarely seen anymore.

True or not the UFO remark on the debate was a killer.

Well, I don't know about that. There are some pretty incompetent people out there.
But that is part of my feeling about him: right now, he's a congressman I agree with in political views, and I think he votes the way I would. But I see no sign that he has the skill to work in an executive position, where he would have to make decisions that are less clear than yea or nay.

I'm sorry. He's toast. He doesn't have a prayer.

Kucinich supports reparations for slavery (never mind the fact that all the slaves and their owners are long since dead) and banning handguns. Fuck him.

There's a reason Cleveland became known as the "Mistake on the Lake" when he was mayor.

As a born and raised Northeast Ohioan, Dennis the Menace is a disgrace to my state.

Kucinich is the worst Democratic candidate and one of the worst candidates period.

Meh. I agree with most of his views, but some of them are enough to put me off.

Oooohhh wooooowwww. A lot of prominent aviators who aren't considered crazy that run the gamut of conservative to liberal have viewed UFO's. I don't quite like Kucinich for a multitude of reasons, but that is not one of them.

If people are that fickle as to not vote for someone because of a personal statement like that is fucking rediculous. Oh hey, let us not pay attention to the issues at hand and go along with the status quo and pay attention to the most idiotic of non sequitor details.

And to the poster that spoke of his cities default on its debt. What's your point? George W. Bush, the current president, took the reigns of THREE corporations (Arbusto, Spectrum 7 Energy Corp., and Harken Energy (http://alaric3rh.home.sprynet.com/science/bceo.html) [only pay attention to the part dealing with those, the rest of the article sucks]) that dealt with ENERGY which, you know, is really hard to fudge up with the constant energy demands of the idiotic consumptive American and really screwed the pooch while running each one. Each one failed and dissolved during his CEO days. And while they were failing, he scooped Corporate Welfare money into the failing businesses and proceeded to continue debt spending even though each corporation was to fail and it was no surprise when each finally did tank.

And, what's that? The failing economy under the Bush Administration? Oh let's us never mind that! Because Kucinitch defaulted on the debt of a city. Bush only did the same thing for the country and continues to spend with a negative bank account. Which, you do understand, will have to be payed back by the next few generations. Only so we Americans can have the short sighted prosperity the upper crust (Middle class to Upper class) craves.

Kucinich claims to have seen a UFO...

Bush claims to not only see, but to have personal conversations with an invisible fairy.:p

You know, though... If he got elected, then we'd have a FLILF in the white house.

After reading up on his views elsewhere, I was shocked to realise there's actually an American politician whose views are close to mine. If I were American, I would probably vote for him.

I'd vote for him. His idea to create a Department of Peace is an excellent one.

Also, when Kucinich said he "saw a UFO", he means he saw an Unidentified flying object.

UFO =/= Alien Space Ship

Sure, you can have conversations with God about blowing Iraqi shit up, but see one little UFO, and automatically, you're a wacko. :p

I like some of his politics and he freaks Republicans out which are good.

But he's flaky and surprisingly oily in person. I wouldn't trust the man to shave Ann Coulter's nutsack. :p

Same here, although I'd have to read up more to see if that impression actually holds up to closer view.

He had the chance to work in an executive position and failed catastophically.

He did try to impeach Cheney, IMS. That's certainly a tick in the plus column.
