So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, good night

Well, the time has come, as it does for most people.

At 12,000 posts, and almost 4 years, I've decided that I've had enough of NSG. I've had some great times here, but now I think it's time to move on. Not just from NSG, but from my internet usage as a whole; I have one degree, and I'm setting out on another; a degree in Law. I want to do it justice (har, har), and move towards some goals I've sent myself for my future professional life, so I'm more or less leaving the internet.

NSG has been good to me; I've learnt a lot about respecting other's opinions, and when not to enter into arguments. I'd like to thank all those I would be pleased to call friends, and to give a special thanks to the mods who put up with all our trouble. It's been good.

Who knows; maybe I'll return some time, with another name.

Well, for now it's au revoir. Perhaps goodbye. We'll see.

Thanks everyone.

Over the last two years I've been lurking, I have enjoyed reading your posts. I feel your posts were well-reasoned and you have been a strong presence in General. Good luck getting your law degree!

One quick lawyer joke:
An airplane was in distress and was about to crash in a field. The captain asked a stewardess if everyone was seated and buckled. "Almost everyone," she replied. "The lawyers are still going around the back handing out business cards." ;)

Take care!

Insert massive temper-tantrum.

Fine, whatever. Just go. See if I care.

Okay, I totally care.

You can be a lawyer and use the internet. Neo Art and Cat-Tribes totally do that.

And besides, you should be a motorsports photographer.

You sadden me.

But alright. I'll accept it. If only because every time someone does one of these they come back. So there.

Seriously, I wish you well in law. It is a noble profession, in spite of the lawyer jokes.

Oh my lord I had no idea you were going into law!!!! Yeah...you'll be too busy to post very much, or lurk, or really bother with the internet. You'll do it anyway though :D

Best of luck, you're one of the few posters I've bothered checking in on NSG for. Kick ass chicky!

But, I wish you luck wherever your travels may take you. Go in peace, Nadkor, and may the Scwartz be with you.

You were a warm presence, one of the few I never saw hit out at other posters.

You were probably over that before I found this place ... just from your "learning to respect others' opinions" comment.

We should ALL be lawyers, then the human race would starve to extinction ... nah, do what good you can! :)

First of all, best of luck with your Law Degree - I know quite a number of people doing Law Degrees and it is pretty tough going, so it is probably a good call on your part. However, in saying that, NSG is like The Hotel California, you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave.

I really am saddened by this. Perhaps I am shallow, or perhaps the medium is corrupt.
