Peyton Manning Chokes

Yes folks. Last night, Peyton Manning could not find the right color uniform last night as he threw SIX INTERCEPTIONS. Now they still nearly won (and though I do not like the Colts, I wish they had because I hate San Diego more) but come on. Six Interceptions in one game? That's a new Colts record.

That's the Chok... I means Colts for ya. Shoulda heard the colts fan in the office this morning "Well it was raining". Yeah, it was raining, so only the other team could catch or throw?

Yea make excuses for when your "star" QB throws 6 picks in one game. He even admitted that he has to make smarter decisions so yea...he places the blame on himself and not on the weather. And now, they have to play the Chiefs. Granted, they did not have that great a game against the Broncos (First home loss to them since 2002 and I could not have been happier :D) but their defense can give Peyton and the colts some trouble.

I wonder where I diehard Manning fan is!

To be fair, they were terrible conditions, and he had no one healthy on his offense. That being said, it was a completely hilarious game. The entire thing was like a comedy sketch... Well, I guess unless you are a Colts fan.

In reality, that's no excuse for Peyton Manning's six picks.

and he had no one healthy on his offense.

This is the only real excuse they have but still...

This I agree with.

In reality, that's no excuse for Peyton Manning's six picks.

One was just a great piece of work from the cornerback, and one was desperation throwing at the end where he had to try it.

In terms of throwing, apparently not.

Klusener choked in 1999. He was a damn good ODI player.

It happens, quite frankly. Thierry Henry is perhaps the best footballer I have, or will, be priveliged to see, and he was anonymous in the world cup, just as Dan Carter was god awful against France in the RWC.

To throw the term "choker" about as an albatross of sorts is the behaviour that really does typify either the unreasonably irate fan, or the unbecomingly exultant victor.

Lets start the chant: OVERRATED!!! OVERRATED!!!

Seriously, Rex couldn't throw 6 picks if he tried.

Wow, and it's not even the playoffs yet.

Only cause he'd've fumbled it already. :p

Of course, Pennington can't throw ten yards on a line, so I really can't be talking.

No it is not the playoffs. Hopefully, his choking continues. It will just prove that Manning is indeed one of the most overrated QBs in the league.

I miss Jake Delhomme, the other QBs for the Panthers haven't been using Steve as much.

Who's clearly better than Manning?

Brett Farve for starter. Ben of the Steelers for another.

Maybe Manning's throwing arm suffered from a flareup of Romotoid Arthritis?

Romo is also a better QB. And that's one whale of a pun. :D

Favre is having a great year right now tearing up mediocre teams, and he used to be decently mobile. Manning has better football smarts, and is usually much less gun slingy and safer with the ball than Favre is. Arm strength, Favre has the upper hand, I think, but Manning is more accurate. Favre deals with worse conditions way better than Manning. But I can't say Favre is clearly a better quarterback. Roethlisberger is a great leader and uses his mobility in the pocket very well, but I think he is way more effective when his chances are kept limited. Once he starts going over 35 attempts, he is in trouble. He is strong and heads up, and a good leader, but he can't carry the team on his arm, like Manning (sometimes) does.

Seriously. Anyone can look good if he has Manning's receiving corp.

Just look what Tom Brady did before they got him good receivers. This is the first year he has had a receiving corp on par with that of the Colts.

I also love how people blame the weather. Big deal. It's football, the game is meant to be played outdoors in rain, sleet, and snow. Maybe Manning only looks that good because he is a wuss who plays in a freaking dome.

He should try playing in Lambeau, Foxboro, or Soldier Field.

Tom Brady is also a much better QB than Manning.

Brady's o-line and receivers make him great, Peyton makes his O-line look great.

But yeah, Manning would be terrible outside of his dome, as he has shown on countless occasions.

As to Romo, I really haven't seem him play enough. He looked very good in the parts of the Giants-Cowboys game I saw, though. Although I can't get over that botched field goal...

Favre is without a doubt better than Manning. Favre has played his entire career in horrible conditions at Lambeau. He is having a great year with no receivers other than Driver, who is simply an average receiver. I would love to see Manning play at Lambeau. The dome crybaby would be a disaster in Green Bay.

They still almost won despite the choking? That says something very good about the quality of the rest of the team. If Manning stops choking they could smash anyone! :(

It's the Colts, the choking is pretty inevitable. I was stunned when they went all the way last year.

Who's clearly better than Manning?a QB is as good as his OL/receivers.
Give Manning an average OL/receivers.. and he becomes an average QB.

Heh.

Either he's been suspended or he committed suicide after the game because I have been wondering the same thing.
