Basic ingredients will be: cooked pasta (either spaghetti or penne, to keep it simple), tomato sauce and olive oil.
Now choose what else you want on it!
No "other" option, post it! Also, who is the pig who mixed mushrooms, bacon and TUNA?

What no olives in the poll?
Last night I had pasta with salt, pepper, truffle oil and parmesan cheese. Tasty.
Tonight I had some penne with garlic alfredo sauce, and Kedem Grape juice. Such an enjoyable meal. I would have added mushrooms and chicken to it, if I would have either.

Can't argue with the rose petals...:p
Anyway, my favourite pasta dish is Spirelli with onions, garlic, bacon bits and egg fried up with the cooked pasta, and then lashings of fresh Parmigiano on top.... *yum*

i LOVE mushrooms and tuna in/on pasta. but NOT with tomato sauce. cream of mushroom instead.
i also like the non-tomato options spegetti joints do server. the clam sauce for example.
oh yah, i like tomatoes too. for tomato on pasta i prefer a bit of dead cow in it somehow though, although enough variety of vegitable alternatives is ok too.
i also love any kind of gravey/sauce over steamed rice too.
but of course that's a different menu.
now i'm starting to get hungry.
i have to get up and see if the hamburger is thawed yet.

Amatriciana (no bucatini?) for me.
You left out eggs and cream (scratch the tomato) for a Carbonara.
Or pine nuts and pecorino for a Pesto.
BTW mushrooms, bacon and tuna is Mari e monti.
You might not like it but the recipee exists and is Italian.

Cheese, enough cheese so that I don't have to taste the pasta. And then add some more cheese.
I hate pasta.

While I really like cheese I'll add mushrooms, bacon and basil as well :)

A yummy Fettuccine alfredo, with sliced ham mixed in and topped with a delicate, yet rich sauce of cream, milk, water, and eggs. It's so good, I think i'll eat it for lunch today!
YUM! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I don't really put any of those on pasta, except the Parmesan cheese, and spaghetti sauce(homemade sometimes). AND, you can't forget the KETCHUP! Mmmmmmmmmmmm..................................;)

Amatriciana (no bucatini?) for me.
I don't want to have to explain the difference between spaghetti and bucatini...
You left out eggs and cream (scratch the tomato) for a Carbonara.
NO CREAM in carbonara! The original recipe is eggs, pecorino romano, black pepper, and bacon fried in oil.
BTW mushrooms, bacon and tuna is Mari e monti. You might not like it but the recipee exists and is Italian.
No way. Mari e monti has no tuna: shellfish, instead, or even better, shrimps!

HOW DARE YOU INSULT MY RELIGION! YOU ARE INTOLERANT! :D
Seriously, some folks use ketchup for pasta (spaghetti). If I can remember correctly, banana ketchup is cheaper than tomato sauce. And I think my mother has a recipe for that... mmmmm. Delicious.

Oh yeah, it's similar to what people in Rome call "pasta burro e cacio" iirc (butter-and-cheese pasta)

Yes. My mother used to feed us spaghetti made with banana ketchup back when y'know, we can't afford that much tomato sauce. And hey, it ain't bad...

Parm, Basil and maybe, maybe, maybe Chilis.
Uh? What's that?
Its the white, creamy alfredo sauce, that has garlic blend with it, to give added taste :)

I like nearly all pasta dishes because there are many variations that I can get that take out the ingredients that I don't like.. and to prevent alienation, I wont mention what they are. ;) mmm.. pasta.
From the alternatives, none. Well...Maybe basil or mushrooms.
I would add squids (calamari?), shrimps and garlic cloves.
Or olives.

Pasta with olive oil, parsley, maybe sprinkled lightly with parmigiano. Toasted pine nuts are also nice.
