Dem der librul mediaz!!!111!
So, I was taking a look at a list today of the world's most free press...Lets look where America ranked. One would think it would be in the top 5 right? nope. What about the top 10? Nope. What about the top 20? NOPE. That's right. America, the oh so free, is ranked incredibly at number 48, for the world's most free press. That's barely in the top 50. Nicaragua and South Africa are more free in their press than the US.
Here is a link to the findings. http://www.rsf.org/article.php3?id_article=24022
Now, what type of stories is the press with holding from the American? Hmm, is it some liberal media scheme hiding the truth from conservative America? Actually, according several sources including Project Censored Media, most of stories not talked about in main stream media, would actually be good points for liberals. So, if our press is barely in the top 50 for most free press, and we are censoring liberal sources and stories, then how can our media be considered liberal. It's because it isn't. American media is moderate leaning right, at best, and foxist..erm fascist at worst.
Here are the stories not being told on a large scale to Americans:

All I can say is that this is screwed up. If this keeps on happening, eventually Fahrenheit 451 will become reality :(
Pretty shocking, but I gotta ask...
How big is the difference between the first and 48th position? A quick Football analogy could be...
Steelers are ranked first, Green Bay second, Chiefs third, and Dallas fourth.
Well, Steelers are 6-3, Green bay 5-3, but Chiefs and Dallas 3-4 and 2-5.
So, again, how big is the difference between 48 and 1? Is it big, or is it small?

Steeler are 6-2. Green bay is 6-1. I don't care enough about the other two, but I am sure that dallas is 5-2. Your analogy sucks, when compared to real life :p
Anyways, when the US is beat by the likes of Nicaragua, and South Africa, who have both had unstable and oppressive histories, then its a bad situation for the US.

You know, I wonder what the anti-Immigration crowd would think about #23 on the list. Hey, they can't come here, but we sure as hell can go there, drive up the property values, and make it completely unlivable for the locals to live there(economically), forcing them here, taking our low-paying jobs(that really few people care about) just to make something resembling a living.
I'm sure they're all for it, really.

I know, when I read some stuff on Mexico, regarding the same thing that #23 was talking about, I was appalled.

It was #22(I thought it was 23, but meh still), and quite frankly I'm not surprised. Some people think that the world is the US's platter. National Sovereignty is great... for us. You other guys? Not so much. Apparently. Sad really, because this kind of crap happens a lot with the rich folk. They love the "scenic" areas, move in by the truck loads, drive up property values, locals get screwed. Same thing actually is happening in Montana, for instance, but that's another story.
And for another kick at such amazing BS coming from our country, take a look at 25. The US government: Making a joke of Tribal Nations for over two centuries.
Particularily:
"Most outrageously, it gave the US government the power to grant rights of way through Indian lands without permission from the tribes—if deemed to be in the strategic interests of an energy-related project. "
It be as though the US government were to tell Canada we're going to start drilling for oil on Canadian soil. Unfortunately, because the reservations need money, and bad(Due in no small part to the government), and they have practically zero sway in US politics, the government gets to give the big ol middle finger to em.
Freakin' brilliant.

That doesn't surprise me, considering how whitey has treated Natives since before there was a U.S.

Doesn't surprise me, so much as completely dismay me. Tribal sovereignty in the US pretty much can be summed as:
"Tribal police make sure you follow the speed limit."
That's. About. It.

Are you suggest that we all dress in white suits, and bum rush the capital?
Because I'm all for it, if that's the case. :D

I like your idea ... i do ... *but* if it's a "bum" rush, we're not gonna find a lot of eggs.

No, we'd dress as sailor, with the white uniforms. That way, the news will say something Seamen attacking DC. I wish I could come up with a clever title, but dang it, its slipping me :-p
