Dog Days May be Over -- I Hope

Anti-Social Darwinism

The idiot made a racial slur and another idiot leaked it to the press, so now the network is "temporarily" pulling his show. What I want to know is why they didn't pull it earlier. Most of the shows on TV are pretty poor quality, this one being no exception. The dysfunctional family displayed in this show with it's strident, sluttish mom, it's borderline retarded father/felon, the Christianity-on-display and the general violence is hardly must-see viewing. It should have been pulled permanently a long time ago.

On the plus side, the more shows like Dog, the Bounty Hunter they show, the more people turn to reading.

Oh, dear. That is the whitest trash and trashiest white I have ever seen. My false Christian Jew on a stick, does this person not own a mirror? Friends and family with eyes?! WTF?!? I guess it goes with the racist piece of shit territory.

Just out of curiosity, how is someone's wiretapped private conversation relevant?

Ah, you should have seen (in that you really really shouldn't have) his 'wedding' episode where he wanted to wear his 'guns' (which aren't guns because he's an ex-con and can't have guns, they are actually elaborate pepper spray cans that he carries all over, like eight of 'em...) during the ceremony...

And check out the wife:

And...

Chapman's lawyer alleged on Thursday that the TV bounty hunter's son, Tucker, sold taped the conversation and sold it to a tabloid for "a lot of money."
They don't have editors at AOL?

In the conversation, Chapman urges Tucker to break up with his girlfriend. He also expresses concern about the girlfriend trying to tape and go public about the TV star's use of the N-word.
"So let me use it several times on an easily recorded medium..." Genius, this one...

Just out of curiosity, how is someone's wiretapped private conversation relevant?

The show and it's following, being a 'reality show' is built on the character and integrity of its subject. If the character of its star turns out to be a racist then it diminishes the value the star and tarnishes that reputation. Since the following of the show is based very much on the person and his character, this revelation is relevant since it is part of the bricks that builds his celebrity.

This is regardless of whether or not you think he has character or is a celebrity. If Dog did not have a show then no, no one would have made his private conversation public because it would just be another racist bounty hunter of which I'm sure there are a few.

I didn't need this incident to illustrate that he is a piece of shit undeserving of his own television show. Not that I don't appreciate that he makes(made?) a living bringing bigger pieces of shit to justice. But that doesn't make him a hero.

I don't want to sound arrogant or anything, but I'd be the subject of a much more interesting show. :)

I shall pretend you said that with Sir David Attenborough's accent and laugh heartily. If you don't know who that is, I shall pity you.

The fact that COPS has been on the air for like 17 years seems to disagree.

Actually, I might know a few people who'd be interested in a reality show about clowns...

Three, Miami Ink had a spin off, LA Ink when it was discovered that hot chick tattoo artists were more appealing than skeezy dude tattoo artists. So it's Miami Ink, LA Ink, and Inked. Some pen enthusiast is really pissed off about constantly being led on.
