In light of the californian independance thread I though I would post this. I learned recently that there is a movment call"evergreen revolution" the idea is that southern british columbia, washington, oregon and idaho form into the republic of cascadia or something like that. Basically taking the old oregon territory and turning it into a country. Given that if california seceded from the union it would most likely join mexico given their cultural and racial similarities. I thought cascadia was more plausable of being self suficient and independant because of the cultural similarities of the pacific north west both in canada and the U.S

california wouldnt ever join mexico. mexico is an economic sink hole. i suppose for the sake of argument they might take baja california with them though.

it would be hard to convince the inlanders to join the coasties - damn idahoes hate everybody. but there are essentially none of them anyway...
