Could this be part of the U.S. government's scheme to draw us into a war with Iran? Some people think so. (http://www.antiwar.com/justin/?articleid=11828)

The Democratic controlled Congress will not vote to go to war with Iran.
End of story.

However, this does not mean that Bush's hands are tied.
He can order up to 30 days of action, up to and including airstrikes, without the consent of Congress.

If for example Bush felt that Iran has developed nuclear technology and felt it was an immenet threat to US security, he could order the facility be hit with airstrikes, Tomahawks, cruise missles Etc....

This would likely get him lynched, as his approval rating is already gazing upwards at the toilet.

It would clearly cement Hillary as the next President, and likely villianize the republican party as well, not to mention having to deal with Iran, who are much more capable of attacking Israel than most of its neighbors.

and likely villianize the republican party as well,

But not to worry, that's THE ONLY THING that would result in that!
