I bathe in champagne morning and night, the bubbles leave a refreshing tingle on the skin and I smell good as well - none of that cheap stuff, only the best for me.

I also wipe my ass with silk, not as effective though - no traction - but I just like to waste money.

i guess it is a bit American centered, since the US is a hard liquor and beer drinking nation.

I was in a corner shop once and a couple of winos were in the queue before me buying surgical spirit to drink. Oner of them turned to me and offered me a taste (I was buying beer) saying it was "a real man's drink". Naturally I declined.

I like absinthe, a good gin and tonic or a martini, brandy (particularly Calvados French Apple Brandy), red wine, proper real ale particulalry stouts and porters.

Pine cone whisky.

Is that a brand or, a type of whisky, or a euphemism?

i don't drink (what a party pooper)
Oh gosh, I don't need to disable my brain to have fun, what a party pooper I am; for shame.. I surely must repent my evil ways of actually wanting to remember what I did last night.

Isn't that odd, I've never experienced memory loss from alcohol. Well I must be some kind of medical miracle, because everyone knows that even if you have even the smallest amount of alcohol you'll suffer total amnesia. Oh, and lets not forget that if you do drink, it's because you need to to have fun. You couldn't possibly just enjoy the taste, oh my no.

Isn't this fun?

well, having a few beers won't destroy your memory. It takes, at least for me, about half a handle of whiskey to black out. So you can drink quite a bit without forgetting...

and if you don't drink, you are a party pooper!

I think that California is working on turning the tide... although it will take a long time to reach the level (in quantity, quality and variety) of the wine production of France or Italy.

Also, I think that Italy is in the top rankings for hard liquors, mainly grappa and whisky. Yes, we italians like alcohol a lot! Too bad mead is difficult to come by here.
Trollgaard

Why?

'cause you won't be as loosened up as people who are drinking.
Have you been sober while your friends are drinking? It sucks! You don't have to drink to have fun, but if you don't ever drink, then that's just lame! (unless your a recovering alcoholic, then more power to you!)

I've tried wine, and I was not impressed. Maybe I haven't tried the right wines, however.

Mead is kinda hard to find where I am too. i'm thinking of brewing my own ;)

'cause you won't be as loosened up as people who are drinking. I can loosen up perfectly well without altering my brain chemistry; if I want to.

Have you been sober while your friends are drinking?Yes; and a good deal of them thought I was drunk. Heh.

You don't have to drink to have fun, but if you don't ever drink, then that's just lame!I really don't see why that's lame. Having to drink to loosen up sounds like what's lame to me..

i don't have to drink to loosen up, nor do most people i know (well, all people i know actually). drinking just helps. you don't even have to get shit faced when you drink. just kick back, relax, and down a few beers and get buzzed. its all good!

1. leave Damor alone, not everyone needs to drinkto have fun. Not everyone needs to drink to have fun at a party with drinkers. He's different to you, but who cares let him be!

2. Trolgaard, scotch is a form of whisky. In case you never bothered to read the next word on the bottle of scotch, as the name 'scotch' is usually followed by 'whisky'. If you were referring jack daniels, wild turkey or jim beam then 'bourbon' would have been appropriate. You moron.

There is no "right" wine. It depends on what you're eating. Anyway, I may suggest you an Asti Spumante DOCG as a light, easy-drinking wine at parties.
Also, wine gets spoiled when transported, so better drink it near the area where it has been made, and at the right temperature.

Yay for homebrewing (not of wine, too complicated)!

Indeed, we are working on that. Wine should have been on the poll, since it is one of the most common drinks in the world.

And you don't have to be drunk to enjoy a party. -Someone- has to be sober enough to take clear blackmail photos.

MEAD!!!! Our friends brew like maniacs, they just polished off the last of their 'undead' mead - they couldn't kill the damn yeast off, made the bottles pop their tops early, but a very tasty drink. I also like my grandma's plum cordial, and twenty year old dandelion wine, Oberon Ale, and pretty much anything sweet and fizzy.
