Just one more time for the public record.

In the midst of the affair that surrounded the outing of a CIA officer for political reasons there was always this fierce resistance amongst the most ardent supporters that "Valeria Plame was not a covert agent, blah bleh, and more lies." (http://www.thenation.com/blogs/capitalgames?pid=176110) Yadda Yadda Desk Jockey (http://www.thenation.com/blogs/capitalgames?pid=245279) And my last submission is the actual testimony of Valerie herself in front of congress saying "I was a covert director of operations for the CIA before my cover was blown...(and if I was lying wouldn't I be found in contempt, or to have perjured myself?)" "What you say, I wasn't? Then logic stands that I WAS a covert CIA employee." (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/03/15/AR2007031502448.html)

I bring this up for a few purposes. One is to once again show how the Bush administration views it's "assets" in the war on terror when it comes to it's political capital. It seems the only "values" those voters in the Oval Office had was one which covered their own asses. That with swift and furious vengeance they would spite the nation, and themselves to try and keep their ruse from being found out. To highlight how horribly people in the media, and on this very forum, wanted to believe that it wasn't true, that this could never happen in America. How easily the lies came from their mouth and how angry they became when the "factinistas" pointing out they were full of shit. Next, I'd like to point out that were are all entitled to our own opinions, but not our own facts. And if you don't get my drift here you don't have "THE math." Lastly, it's to put a nail in the coffin of all lines leading from the sentiment "she wasn't covert damn it, GWB's administration would never do something like that!"

So to all this is either one last victory lap for truth, justice, and...oh f$ck I can't bring myself to finish the line. Or one last fleeting chance for the apologists to try and swim through the river of truth like the pack mentality salmon they are. Luckily for us there's a big bear at the top of that river, his name is "TRUTH!"

She seems like a skilled 'undercover' operative. *nod*

Amusingly enough 2 people voted for not covert. They're not part of the factionista either. Unless of course it was one of our posters here being cute, they were too cowardly to post the reasoning behind their vote. This sums up the spin/falsification crowd in a nutshell. They are cowards that will run and hide while being brave enough to have others do their dirty work while they lurk in the shadows.

Denise Austin, Valerie Plame, what's the difference really?
