"Can the [tourism] minister deploy game rangers ... to deal with the monkey menace?" pleaded local representative Paul Muite in Kenya's national parliament last month, to accompanying laughter. "These creatures have clearly shown that they have no respect for women."

It seems that foolish political posturing is not confined to the United States Congress.

Well, what is to be done about these pesky primates? Sue them for sexual harrassment? Make them undergo sensitivity training? Keep them from watching hip-hop videos? Or is this just an aspect of "diversity" that people are going to have to live with? Do we have the right to judge other primates' cultures?

This kinda makes an interesting point about animal rights, doesn't it? I remember already pointing out an except from a Penn Jillette quotation in another thread recently, here's a smaller sample of it "even if we gave the animals rights, they'd end up in animal prisons, right away..."

If we're supposed to treat animals as equals, then that means that for every human who gets charged with sexual assault for kissing another human's breasts in an elevator, for an animal rights person to not advocate that monkeys be locked up for doing things that are by our standards sexual harassment would be contradictory.

Anyway, though, yeah this really should be dealt with and I'm not sure how, but since it was animals doing this it really brought the whole beliefs about animals component to my mind.

This is all part of the gay agenda. They're even recruiting innocent animals to help destroy all that is good and wholesome.

Are you saying that gays are worse than ANIMALS? That gays have an "agenda" and that animals are "innocent"? That's ridiculous. Even as a non-gay I find this whole overblown fear of homosexuals idiotic. Animals have survival of the fittest in the continuous show of opportunism that is the wild, and I'm not just talking about between species of animals, I've read about cannibalism and rape within species... whereas with gays, well first of all what the hell is the big deal about homosexuality, I mean really how is it hurting anyone else? At most there's guilt by association in that they deviate from the bible and so do murderers but that's just pathetic, I could use any other book that tries to touch on so many subjects at the same time to use guilt by association, like Farhenheit 451... well, I don't have my copy of that here, actually I think I sold it before, anyway, but still...

Interesting thing here, people against gay rights often point out that "a lot of homosexuals turn out to be child molestors" but ask yourself this, what are monkeys' standards on the ages of those involved in sexual activity? Ironic how I'm referring to monkeys, monkeys are what in particular this thread was referring to in the first place...

well i was joking (though i will admit id rather harass a hot woman than a not so hot woman lol .. just thought the monkeys should have the same opportunity) and i think you misread the gay post aswell (or i did) as i thought he was joking that gays were recruiting monkeys to get rid of women but i could be wrong (crap ... if gay people are recruiting the monkeys then im jumping on the anti gay wagon right now lolol)
