Why bother trying to buy tickets to the World Series? After the tickets were distributed to season ticket holders, management's friends, players, etc., 20% were sold to Stubhub. The rest were thrown out to a scrambling online melee of scalpers and fans. Guess who didn't get them. That's right, the fans. Well, I guess I'm watching the series on the tube. I can't afford the prices on Stubhub and wouldn't buy from brokers or scalpers anyway. I'm really disappointed in the way the Rockies organization handled the distribution of the tickets - it was either badly planned or dishonest. I really wanted to go to the Series, too.

Ah, but it is. When a sports fan is denied the right to see an oh-so-important sports event - or their team loses at such an event - then the purpose of life and unfairness of sports is duly questioned. Thankfully, I've never been that fanatical.
