Actually, Comcast is charging $750 a month, per wire tap after the $250 activation fee.

In Swedish "fisa" means "to fart". So, uhm...

... my cat's breath smells like cat food. No, that's a lie. I don't have a cat. Wretched creatures.

If I were a telecom, I'd charge the hell out of them for setting up those wiretaps. It might just raise enough complaints in Congress that they'd consider scaling back the program...if you're going to intrude on my network and spy on my customers, you'd better be ready to pay.

:D Activation fee. :D I wonder what their roaming charges are like? And does the FBI get a "friends and family" rate for sharing wiretap info with CIA, NSA, and HSD? And is there a penalty for discontinuing a wiretap before the contract period is up?

Are you kidding? You honestly expect the US government to hesitate about doing something because it might be expensive?

Seems a little steep but not quite as much as I would expect to be honest ... the activation fee is actually pretty cheep but the monthly is a bit high I would have guesstimated in the 400 range per month

Which is why the US has healthcare.

Your sarcasm aside (/sarcasm/), everybody knows the US healthcare system is designed to maintain maximum cost levels, in keeping with US governmental tradition, and that the US government appropriately spends shitloads of money making sure that Americans also spend shitloads of money on their healthcare. Not like those filthy godless commies who actually save money with their filthy godless national filthy healthcare godless systems.

No, wait a minute here. I'm sorry but you must be wrong. Totally wrong. y'see, GWB is deeply concerned about Fiscal Responsibility (TM) and, as such, wouldn't dream of wasting so much money on a pointless exercise such as this.
Thus you must be deluded. And wrong.

I'd do that too. If the government wants to spy on the people, make sure they pay for it so they don't think the market will allow this to go on for free.
