Tell us about it! Your experiences, what went right, what went wrong, what you plan on doing next time, if there will be a next time.

I hosted a show once. Technically, it was my birthday, but really it was just a bunch of death-core and scream-core and hard-core and every type of -core band you can think of playing a show with some cake and an awesome piniata (wow, awful spelling. Thank you Spanish I!). I made the mistake of forgetting to ask the bands if they had a PA until a couple days before and giving the WORST directions of all time. I also forgot to get forks for the cake, but that turned out well I think :D. Last time I did a pretty amazing job promoting it, but I definitely could have done better. I'm probably hosting one again soon, on Pearl Harbor day in fact (December 7th, 2007, a day that will live in infamy.... hahahahaha).

And you're inviting all of us? Gee, that's awfully nice of you!

It was ages ago, but there was a dj at one of my birthday parties and us rowdy kids were doing a lot of jumping/dancing around, which made the record skip. We had to stop. Otherwise it all went well.

Oh yeah... and don't start dating someone you meet at your birthday party just because you think that he or she is cute.

many moons ago, I did a spot of mc'ing for a battle of the bands thing in a bar - it was a lot of fun but nerve-wracking. kept waiting for a beer bottle to fly out of the crowd at my head if they didn't like the band. it was a good time but i have to say that the musos i met were so into themselves - they weren't even known yet but you'd swear they thought they were God's gift to the music world

Umm I once played Tiny Tim on stage at the National Theatre on the South Bank, does that count?

I've initiated and organized a gothic/industrial-party for quite a few years. Nothing fancy, but it was (and still is) fun.
