Can anyone clear this up for me. Several months ago (December 06 I think, but can't be sure) I came across the following trailer

This is for (if you cannot tell, if for instance you do not have quick time) the Will Smith lead adaptation of the science fiction novel "I Am Legend" by Richard Matherson. I've previously read the book and was in two minds about looking forward to it. But that is by the by. I was confused when I came across the following trailer yesterday afternoon.

This is for an animated film, it would seem, entitled "I Am Legend: The Awakening". I am confused. Are these two diffrent films based on the same book timed very close together or are they somehow one and the same. Does anyone know anything about either of these to tell me?

Okay I looked around and here's what I found on wikipedia and on google. I am Legend is a movie that will be based on the book. Around the same time, a comic book will be released as a prequel to the book. It's called "I am Legend Awakening".

thats weird there isn't 14 months in a year :p

as the question has been answered am I the only one who think Will Smith shouldn't be in this movie?
