I was at my brother’s house the other day and when I came in I saw that he and his wife were watching the TV. I do not have a TV in my house, because I do not believe in frivolous possessions such as TV and feel that most of what is broadcast there is un-Christian. However, for a moment I was captured by the temptation of its glow and dared to peek over and see what was on.

To my horror they were watching MTV, and worse yet they were watching the program A Shot at Love: With Tila Tequila. It is like something right out of the Old Testament. I immediately left the house and refused to return until my brother promised that he had turned that TV off. Even now I am praying for his soul and that of his wife.

Which brings me closer to my point; the contestants in this horrid show get to live in luxury at Tila’s house. God’s Elect know that Christ prohibited usury and greed, as he overturned the money changers’ tables, prohibited interest, and his apostles and followers sold all of their possessions and held everything in common (see Acts 2:44-46 and 4:32-36.) This was the beginning of the mostly forgotten tradition of Christian socialism. Capitalism was rejected by Christ because it promotes greed and worldliness, so it is only logical that this focus on worldliness instead of the Kingdom of God would not only result in heterosexual fornication but also homosexual activity. Hence why they would never have shot the show in a humble Christian home but chose to do so in a massive mansion, and why the evil rulers of the Old Testament were not only greedy but sexually depraved. How many times must I explain it, Sheol or Hades (as it can go by both names) is not a bloody lake of fire. It's simply a place of the dead; the final resting place. There is no punishment or reward in Hades. Hence, there is no reason for any of us to cater to the needs of some selfish "god" and his supposed wrath.

So why are you not praying for this Tila Tequila and all those others on her 'show'?

I was at my brother’s house the other day and when I came in I saw that he and his wife were watching the TV. I do not have a TV in my house, because I do not believe in frivolous possessions such as TV and feel that most of what is broadcast there is un-Christian. However, for a moment I was captured by the temptation of its glow and dared to peek over and see what was on.

To my horror they were watching MTV, and worse yet they were watching the program A Shot at Love: With Tila Tequila. For those of you who do not know what this program is it is a show about a woman who attempts to choose a lover. Though this is bad enough (women must be dominated by their husbands, see 1 Corinthians 11:3 and 1 Timothy 2:11-15), she not only gets to choose from a number of men but a selection of women as well. It is like something right out of the Old Testament. I immediately left the house and refused to return until my brother promised that he had turned that TV off. Even now I am praying for his soul and that of his wife.

Which brings me closer to my point; the contestants in this horrid show get to live in luxury at Tila’s house. God’s Elect know that Christ prohibited usury and greed, as he overturned the money changers’ tables, prohibited interest, and his apostles and followers sold all of their possessions and held everything in common (see Acts 2:44-46 and 4:32-36.) This was the beginning of the mostly forgotten tradition of Christian socialism. Capitalism was rejected by Christ because it promotes greed and worldliness, so it is only logical that this focus on worldliness instead of the Kingdom of God would not only result in heterosexual fornication but also homosexual activity. Hence why they would never have shot the show in a humble Christian home but chose to do so in a massive mansion, and why the evil rulers of the Old Testament were not only greedy but sexually depraved. (Also why the incredibly wealthy Catholic Church and wealthy “moderate” evangelicals are so alienated from God.)

For those of you who do not know what this program is it is a show about a woman who attempts to choose a lover. Though this is bad enough (women must be dominated by their husbands, see 1 Corinthians 11:3 and 1 Timothy 2:11-15), she not only gets to choose from a number of men but a selection of women as well. It is like something right out of the Old Testament. I immediately left the house and refused to return until my brother promised that he had turned that TV off. Even now I am praying for his soul and that of his wife.

Which brings me closer to my point; the contestants in this horrid show get to live in luxury at Tila’s house. God’s Elect know that Christ prohibited usury and greed, as he overturned the money changers’ tables, prohibited interest, and his apostles and followers sold all of their possessions and held everything in common (see Acts 2:44-46 and 4:32-36.) This was the beginning of the mostly forgotten tradition of Christian socialism. Capitalism was rejected by Christ because it promotes greed and worldliness, so it is only logical that this focus on worldliness instead of the Kingdom of God would not only result in heterosexual fornication but also homosexual activity. Hence why they would never have shot the show in a humble Christian home but chose to do so in a massive mansion, and why the evil rulers of the Old Testament were not only greedy but sexually depraved. (Also why the incredibly wealthy Catholic Church and wealthy “moderate” evangelicals are so alienated from God.)

God’s word on capitalism is made clear in 1 Timothy 6:10, “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” Capitalism is indeed the root of all that is evil, and so you must make a choice between capitalism, sodomy and eternal damnation or socialism, prudence and God’s love.

Sorry, that doesn't work. I usually do dress with everything you mentioned covered, as much as is possible with school dress codes and a very hot and humid climate, and boys still act like I'm attractive and sometimes even try to flirt with me. I used to get really upset and dislike myself for that, until I realized that I can't control what anyone else does. It's not my fault if someone sees me as attractive and commits some sort of sin as a result. It's still painful to me when guys act like I'm attractive, but at least I know that it isn't my fault.

Anyone who's read the Harry Potter series knows for a fact that if you simply the premise for the book, you have very Christian themes.

There is good versus evil (in this case, Potter et al vs Lord Voldemort), with the good triumphing over evil in the end.

There is a devil figure who brings only suffering and death to his victims.

There is magic used on both sides; when it's good versus evil in Biblical scripture, there is often such things that could be considered magic. The ability to create miracles or usher in chaos through super-natural means.

There is plenty of emphasis on family in a good way.

They celebrate Christmas... (in every book too I might add).

Friendship is a major theme; and a lot to do with heroism.

The only thing that are "satanic" rituals are those performed by the character representing the demonic figure that the "good" side fights.

Nah, this Red Baptism guy has gotten to me. The way I see it, life is a big game of Simon Says, except it's God instead of Simon. If you don't do exactly as he says, you get reservations to roast in the lake of fire. And if you stop and say, "Wait, how does it make sense to torture people for all eternity for not doing exactly what you say?", you get the fire and brimstone experience yourself.

To be fair, I kinda wondered where the worm was when I'd get to the bottom of a bottle of tequila the first few times. I didn't learn the difference until a bit later.
