Man with Almost No Brain works as a servant

It's maybe old news, but some of you were enjoying holiday.

But it's still fun news.

French doctors are amazed that a 44-year-old civil servant with an abnormally small brain has led a normal life with a slightly lower than normal IQ, according to a report on Physorg.com.

Your thread title is a bit misleading. There's a big difference between a servant and a civil servant

Old news and been at least 2 threads about this.
Interesting nonetheless to consider how the brain can work and adapt. Shows that there's still lots we don't know about the brain's inner workings.

A servant is a servant. One just has a fancier title.

And one is generally used more to describe a household servant

a person working in the service of another (especially in the household)

handmaid: in a subordinate position; "theology should be the handmaiden of ethics"; "the state cannot be a servant of the church"

I could call builders, nurses, teachers, etc servants if I wanted, by that definition, but it's not a very precise description

English is not my mother tongue. But if some of you insist, I can go on in Dutch or French. We don't want that, I guess? :)

Or instead of being sarcastic you could see it as the helpful tip it was.

Servant = the guy who vacuums my living room everytime I leave it.

Civil Servant = the guy down at the DMV, the lady who gives me my welfare check.
