Well, John Howard down south here just called an election (postponed as long as he possibly could), and we are in an election campaign (poll date November 20 I think), anyways for Australian NSGers, for whom will you be voting for? I will simply list the parties and leave out the confusing preference system. I don't believe I missed out any of the participating parties, here are there stances:

Labor: Social democracy 'third way'
Liberal: liberal conservatism
Greens: left-wing environmentalism
Family First: right-wing Christian
Democrats: progressivism, libertarianism
Socialist Alliance: socialism

I'll be voting Green.

I'll basically be voting left > right in order of political positions, I am interested in the Senate being an independent entity and I don't want either major party controlling it, when the Liberals got control we got: 'anti-terrorism' legislation, anti-trade union legislation etc, parties get out of control and instantly have no accountability when they get the Senate. That's why I want a strong Green presence in the Senate.
