Slow day. What's for supper?

Darn, it seems like a slow day here in NSGland. Maybe it's because I was home sick on Thursday and Friday so I spent more time than I normally do here. Maybe it's because I'm bored and the wife is recording some horror movies from TV on to a DVD.
So, what's for supper?
I'm making some chicken stroganoff and serving it over some Amish noodles. Y'all are invited. :fluffle:

Instant noodles sounds OK with onions, vegetables, and fried tofu but when you add the Chili I have serious doubts about how good it was. Unless you mean chili powder and not American or Mexican chili.

They weren't "instant noodles" - they were proper noodles that I fried. I was going to make Nasi Goreng, but I only had basmati rice and I've found I don't like the result when I use that.

Well, I had to ask. By the way, my wife and I eat a lot of "foreign foods." When I went to Malaysia, I brought home three cookbooks. We also have cookbooks from Spain, Italy, England, Turkey and a few other countries. We are not steak, potatoes, and hamburger people. We do a lot of shopping at Asian and Middle Eastern markets.
By the way, Jasmine rice is also excellent. Anyone who thinks American short grain rice or Uncle Ben's rice is good isn't living. Oh, and that instant rice they sell here is worse than eating paste.

I don't remember the details of how it got started, but somehow he and one of the other posters that was in his gang (not the xenophobic Norwegian, but the xenophobic South African, can't recall the name) ended up on either my skype or MSN-list.
It was... for lack of a better word, "respectful" in the beginning (although not pleasant) and as I said I found it amusing for a while because TAI would profess that IRL he wasn't like he portrayed himself in his forum posts and I didn't have reason to doubt it until after a while when the xeno- and homophobia (of course) resurfaced. Then comments were made. His NS posts got more belligerent. He sent me scantily-clad pictures of himself and asked me my opinion of his appearance (yeah, wtf, I know), of USA weaponry, of USA presidents he liked (yeah, wtf, I know), he would start writing about quite personal issues about himself that I won't share because I'm not that mean, but that he wanted my advice on - again all the while being as I assume he is in the post in this thread that I can't see.
It was all just getting so, so weird and paradoxical that way and in the end I don't remember what happened exactly and what made me do it, but I blocked him throughout and learnt my lesson not to make this jump off-site with people like that. :\

I gotta be honest, I kinda stopped caring about halfway through Fass' post.
On topic- Tortellini Alfredo with two (one and half too many, but if I didn't use the other one I'd have to freeze it and then I'd forget it was there...in retrospect that wouldn't have been so bad) Italian sausages and garlic cheese bread. It was, but it was also really easy to make. The salad was basically chopping and mixing everything and than pouring some oil, vinegar and spices over it, while the soup I made in my blender. The croutons, though, had to be fried, but I went with bread thranches (slices) instead of making cubed croutons. Rubbing them with garlic and some other spices = provençale.
So, not everything has to be all that advanced to be good.

Tonight, it was lamb loin chops on the barbecue, with steamed sweet potatoes and some broccoli tossed in olive oil and garlic, and a glass of 1% milk.
A quick and easy marinade for the lamb:
3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons of sugar
1/2 a teaspoon of salt
1/2 a teaspoon of fresh cracked pepper
the grated zest of a whole lemon (or whole lime)
three cloves of garlic, chopped fine and mashed into paste
a three inch sprig of rosemary (pull off all the leaves and chop them fine, while tossing away the twig part).
Just smear this thick paste over the meat and leave it sit anywhere from one hour before cooking to 24 hrs before cooking.
Delicious, I swear.
I had pasta with meat sauce and a salad.
I feel inadequate here, but my stomach disagrees.
