I was driving home last night and there was a 4 way intersection. Now I was behind this big ass SUV (a Chevy something) and I got into the lane to turn left and she got into the lane to turn right or straight. She signaled to turn right and I signaled to turn left. So what happened. The dumb bitch turned left! The idiotic woman was talking on her damn cell phone, decided to turn left and fucking cut me off! Then to make things worse, when we enter into the part of the highway where it's supposed to be 55 mph. She was driving 40 mph, and why. Because apparently she has two kids in the back and is doing everything except driving. So when I got to part of the road where I can legally pass her, I did. However I did write down her plate # and am thinking about calling the police. I mean my God, it's bad enough she's driving a SUV, but driving while talking on the cell phone and messing with her two kids in the back? God....this just confirms my beliefs that everyone on this earth are idiots. At least in the air, people act like they have common sense. So any other horror road stories?

Don't we all during traffic jams? My horror story? Being stuck behind a group of tourists from some plains state. Man, they must've been marveling about howeverything wasn't flat...
I have had numerous idiots try to merge into me while talking on the phone.
As for my horror story: I was driving back from hockey, then we hit a wall of traffic. We were all like "WTF?" We were on the ByPass and the traffic started at about Road A. We had to take the bridge which was usually only about ten minutes ahead. Immediately before the bridge we have to merge onto the Highway. It takes us about two hours to get to the intersection before the ByPass/Highway intersection, and we see that traffic is being rerouted. There was a motorcycle accident between the two intersections, so the blocked the road off. We knew why it was taking so long: they were routing traffic from a two lane ByPass onto a one lane Road B. We follow Road B for about half an hour, only to end up on Road A (which is two lanes throughout its duration). We then take Road A to the highway and end up on the bridge, a good three and a half hours after we first crossed Road A. We were pissed. Usually they would have routed traffic at Road A, and allow people who needed to go on to do so.

I'm not sure what you expect the police to do with that plate number.

This isn't a horror story. (But maybe it will be to some people) The second I get a car, doing the car scene from night at the roxbury. Classic.

I wouldn't advise involving the police. There are lots of idiots in the world, you have to deal with most of them.
what, exactly, are the police going to do about this? Some dude saw some woman driving erratically yesterday...this hardly qualifies as sufficient reason to pursue any police action.
The police can do absolutely nothing about her. So it's useless.

I had one today while out delivering mail. I was doing almost the speed limit of 25 on a road that's not fully 2 vehicles wide (with no shoulder), when this woman decides she's tired of driving behind me, and is going to pass me (nearly forcing me off the road in the process, trying to avoid a collision). About 20 feet after she passed me, she turned left into her driveway. Apparently, the 10 seconds sooner that she got home was worth the risk of getting into an accident with a postal vehicle (which, from what I hear, is a royal pain in the ass to deal with).

Aye, my horror story? Any day, at any time between 4:30 and 6:30PM, between Waikiki and Schofield Barracks in Hawai'i. It's a basic marathon of road-bound nightmares.

Go back to that street, write down her address and send her a letter explaining why she is an idiot.
Are you on drugs or something? Seriously..have some more and take a chill pill.
Ya know what..people don't drive perfect. NEITHER do parents with children in a car (most definitely).
If you are THAT pissed off that you would consider calling the police over an incident like that..maybe you should not drive at all.

You mean, due to someone else's inept driving and lack of attention, he should stop driving? Maybe she should invest $20 in a cell phone ear piece, that way maybe she can, you know, do a silly thing like focus on driving. Or maybe her children's safety aren't as important as that phone call, and damn the safety of other motorists.

The police probably wouldn't do anything because you didn't report it right away AND they didn't see anything. Had she hit you, it would be a different story, but she didn't.
My horror story is avoiding 3 accidents within 30 seconds. I pulled into the right turning lane when I was supposed to while the SUV ahead of me braked behind a truck. That SUV then decided to turn right, so it nearly ruined the front end of my aunt's malibu. Then, once I turned right, a truck roared out of a parking lot OVER the curb in a spot where there was no exit and turned in front of me before taking a fast, sharp turn into the same place I was heading. Then, while turning left into the gas station, a vehicle shot out, turned left, and nearly crunched the rear of the malibu.
That my friends is why I prefer to drive in Wilmar, a city 7 times the size of Redwood Falls, the town in which this took place.

I know exactly what her address is. My supervisor was understandably pissed when I told her, and told me that if it happens again, she would deal with the woman.

I don't know about you, but someone endangering my life and my vehicle would tend to piss me off.

um..no. Maybe you should re-read what I wrote.

Sure. But to write down their liscense plate number and call the police over someone cutting you off? Gimme a break.

He certainly has the right to complain to the police about it. She risked his life and his vehicle. They won't do anything if it's only 1 complaint (that they didn't witness), but if other people complained as well, they may file a report.

The trouble is that in the modern world (in the West at least), everyone needs to drive to get places, but not everyone is sufficiently competent to drive.

I rememebr the time we tried taking a rear-wheel drive car through an early snow. As you can guess, they have problems with snow. There's a hill shortly before the destination (14 blocks, accordiong to Yahoo maps), and that combination prevented us from going up the hill. The other paths had the same problem, so we were forced to turn around and go home. Problem is, we live on a small hill! We couldn't get up that one either, so we were forced to park two blocks away and hoof it.
There was also the "joy" of drivers totally unprepared for snow. What should have taken a 40-minute drive (20 each way) wound up taking a whopping FOUR HOURS. One intersection in particular had severe gridlock, leaving us there for a full hour.
We doi not currently have any cars with rear-wheel drive.

People are stupid, distracted, and occasionally incapable. That doesn't justify blowing them up.
I wish people on the road had same damned patience. We're all in it together and life is too damned short to get upset about stuff like this.

Which is why we need to have a better driver education program (at least in the U.S., I don't know the situation in Europe). A much better driver education program. And raising the license age from 16 to 18 (drivers have more experience and are more mature; i.e. not stupid teenagers); and drinking age 16 for beer and light stuff and 18 for the hard stuff (introduces teens to alcohol, removes the rebellious nature of underage drinking, demystifies alcohol... learns limits... in general just better).
Once I was driving on the local highway and this idiot in a bigass suburban is tailgating me, and we come over the hill (where all the accidents are) and there is a red light in the middle of nowhere and the idiot almost slams into my ass.
