Good, now that I got your attention NSG, I need help.

My keyboard hates me. No, it's working perfectly fine. The problem is the letters on the keys; they are getting worn off. This is the second keyboard that this has happened to and I don't want to get a new one because I love my ergonomic keyboard.

I know what's causing it. You see, I have extremely sharp nails (I have used my nails to cut vegetables before) and I think my nails are causes the letters to get scratched off. Now, you see, I do cut my nails but they still grow back! It's an uphill battle.

A while ago I saw online stickers that could be placed on the keys that showed the right letters. My problem is that I cannot find it now. I would be grateful to whomever can find this for me and link me up.

Why would you need letters on your keys? Do you not know how to type?

Aesthetics. I know how to type. It just sucks when letters are not all there. I wouldn't care if all were not there. It just looks tacky when some are partially worn.

Get a soldering iron or something, and melt the letters into the top of each key...

the stickers would be a temporary solution. the problem is that your body oil might be on the acidic side. so I suggest a new keyboard but also buy a protector for it. a plastic covering that will 1) protect the keys, and 2) prevent liquids from going into the keyboard

If it's about aesthetics you could get it spray painted including a protective coating over the paint. I've always wanted to get mine pimped like that but don't know the kind of people who run around spray painting stuff.:(

Eventually, the fact that all your keys are blank will make no difference. About ten of the keys on my desktop's keyboard are unreadable. I can touch type, so it is no big deal. If you want to speed up the learning curve, you could rearrange the keys. Unless you do a one finger peck, you will find that you can touch type (albeit rather slowly), you just look out of habit.

Aesthetics, people, aesthetics! Here's the thing, I am also a gamer, so some of my keys get more frequent use than others... (I, W, A, S, D, R and P) My S R and I keys are almost worn out. Meanwhile, my less used ones are fine. Plus it's harder to type when you're high so it helps me when I want to post my asinine comments in that condition.

I don't need to speed up the learning curve; I'm just a picky person, and I want all or nothing; none of this in between fence-sitting shit.

Aesthetics?

Think of it this way:

People will be looking at your sexy bod, or the awesome things you are typing, not your actual keyboard.

Since when do you say to people, 'hey, look at my cool keyboard!'?

And if they do come over and look at it, they'll just be swiping quick glancing at your breasts as they lean over you.

And those aren't cookies, those are biscuits!

You could...umm..trim your fingernails...or cover your fingers in rubber or clay when you type...

Unfortunately, these are all custom works by very talented artists, none of whom are me. They aren't commercially available.

This was the one that made me drool. (http://online.wsj.com/public/page/8_0006.html?bcpid=86195573&bclid=86272812&bctid=1135486277) (Video link warning)

For the purposes of aesthetics, you should scratch off all the letters, or better yet, take the keys out, and paint them all. It'd look pretty cool, a completely blank keyboard. Noob unfriendly.
