Help me!

I was in a masochistic mood a day or two ago so I watched The Patriot all the way through, and ever since I've had a particular tune stuck in my head. It's a tune that's played in every film ever whenever villainous redcoats (British army, not the holiday camp people) are marching off to their inevitable defeat by Real American Heroes(tm). I think it's also the British victory music for the Battlegrounds mod for Half-Life 2. Can anybody help me from this (horribly vague) description? If it'd help I could also type out 'doo doo doo doo' lots and act impatient when you don't immediately get it.

Also: I can't help but laugh when I see Mel Gibson impale the cavalry officer's horse with an American flag.

Oo, please write it out in 'doo' format! Though you'll need to be precise: format is 'd'+('o' multiplied by the number of quavers the note lasts for), and use '/' for bar lines.

(I have not seen the film, but I enjoy figuring out tunes based on rhythm alone </muso geek>)

In the context of the revolutionary war wouldn't a patriot be one fighting for the British?

It's nice to meet a fellow Battlegroundser. What's your nickname?

I never play anymore, I only played a couple of times for the line battles but people seemed to stop doing that.

Why do you love the terrorists?

Yes, exactly. Damn' colonials. Bloody terrorists and cowards the lot of them. Still, at least many of your countrymen stayed loyal. Long live the King! :p
