Does anyone know why there are only three pages of topics instead of six?

And when did this happen? I liked it when there were six pages.

this forum is in decline. that's why.

Its not an election year? We don't have the number of spam threads we used to anymore? People seem to be posting longer arguments and more arguments in a single thread then I remember as well maybe that has something to do with it. (Sure there were a few uber long ones from time to time but this seems to be on average a thread gets way more responses now)

It's like that because you need to adjust your forum settings to show threads older than 24 hours. I have mine set to show as far back as it goes. There's about 3000 pages.

It's probably a conspiracy.

Because you'ren't creating enough threads, obviously.
It isn't my fault, I know, because I've only created something like 30 threads in the entire time of been here.

the forum has fewer pages because the powers that be have seen fit to encourage 2 types of thread makers to move on.

1) the new clipping service types. dcd and eutrusca spring to mind (although neither of them was ever removed for posting news articles) we still have occeandrive but he isnt as active as he was.

2) the thread making trolls. they do let remoteobserver/mysticalsceptic keep posting new threads but most of the other trolls end up deleted.

without so many of these types of posters we just dont get that many new threads in a day to keep the one day total up where it used to be.

come the first of the year when the US elections start heating up we'll have more bitter angry threads than anyone can bear to read.

You see that drop-down box at the bottom of the thread list that says 'From the last day'? Change it to 'From the last week'. Then you'll have a whooping ten pages of threads. :-)
