Professional Courtesy

Apparently some LEO's who have gotten tickets for speeding, etc. decided to put a site whining that the other officer didn't show them "professional courtesy" and let them go.

They should be fired at once. Cops are not above the law, despite what the local bastards here think.

LEO - Law Executive Officer?

Hmm... I seem to remember being told that Police Officers and citizens are unequal in the eyes of the law. Something to do that the Police Officer has the trust of the system, and should be held to higher account. ie. it's worse if a police officer breaks the law than if a citizen breaks the same law.

Those stories are pretty pathetic. Boo hoo hoo, you were only going 30 miles above the speed limit and didn't get special privileges because of your job! Life is so rough.

If I were a cop and knew who these people were I'd write them up to the full extent of the law on everything they did. Sorry, being a cop does not put you above the rules jackass.

I caught that one too. Assuming it's real, it shows you the character of those whining.

See, that should be a fucking criminal offence.

Haha, no wonder they let each other off so frequently. The Illinois State Police polices itself. There's no independent organisation to investigate complaints against the police - it's all internal. It's bound to be one huge nepotism fest.

I knew it! I knew I wasn't the only one confused by those abbreviations!
Bill of Rights. It's a commonly used abbreviation. Just like SCOTUS. (supreme court of the united states)

I knew it! I knew I wasn't the only one confused by those abbreviations! The ones I really love are POTUS and FLOTUS - President and First Lady Of The United States. FLOTUS just makes me think of one huge ballooning figure of a lady. And my mind, being puerile as it is, just tacks on an 'IM' to POTUS and chuckles.

What a big bunch of babies. If they weren't breaking the law, they wouldn't have gotten pulled over. And being a police officer shouldn't automatically allow you to get out of a ticket.

Highway 1 in NYC doesn't care who you are they give you tickets and I've heard horror stories about them too [from cops]. One cop was on his bike, actually obeying the law, and they tried to run him off the road. Even after he confronted them on it, badge and everything, they still issued a ticket. I don't know the end story but I hope the cop who tried to run him off the road got his badge taken away.

LOL FLOTUS just brings flatulence to my mind.
"Oh man, get out before it's too late -- you don't want a whiff of the blinding FLOTUS in there!"

It's funny, some of them are bitching because of no "professional courtesy", and I translate this as being pissed off (in most of their circumstances) for getting speeding tickets in situations where most average citizens would be getting charged with reckless driving.... They are getting a break, they just think that they should be let off of breaking the law with nothing, simply because they are law-enforcement.
