So the leaves are finally changing colors, and here in North Carolina it's still getting up there in the 80's, but at night it's going down to the 60's. The leaves are changing colors and the air is becoming calmer. I love Fall, I really do, it's just the best season ever! Not only do you get weather that's not too cold, or too hot, but you also get the pretty Fall colors. Also, Fall has one of the best Holidays around, which is Halloween. I haven't decided what I'm going to do this Halloween (or this time, around the weekend before Halloween, because I have school on the 31th which sucks) but I'm either going to have a Horror-Movie marathon, Go out at some Halloween trail or go to a haunted spot and camp out there. Neverless it'll be fun! Anyone else love Fall and Halloween?

I'd like to go up to Salem for Halloween, but that's impossible.

I'm excited about Autumn because I'm sick of the hotness and all the greenery.

Greenery died out here early because of the drought. We didn't get any big Hurricanes this year, so our area didn't get dumped on by a storm that spun off from a Hurricane or the Hurricane itself.

Leaves don't change color because they are dead, they do so because of a chemical change in the leaf caused by the tree thinking it's time to do so. *nod*

Don't go to Salem dressed as a witch.

The leaves are all still green here. Are you sure that you are not in the middle of a drought? If so, I'd look into hording food.

Fall is alright. Lots of foggy mornings. Combine that with the fact that my school is half way up a mountain, and it is foggy most of the day. It is the perfect way to block the breathtaking view of the city. Thats not as bad as it sounds, as you can't see the city from the school, only on the road up to it, as the school is engulfed in forest.

I haven't figured out which season is best, but I do know that summer is the worst. It is far too hot.

The leaves don't change here.... they stay green all year round. It is semi-depressing. I love the leaf change of the North/South Carolina area. And it is still in the 90s and high 80s. Unless it is raining(which it does almost everyday), then it is nicer.

Totally wouldn't.

I'd be more interested in taking pictures and going to that restaurant where the weird Greek people work.
I'll be there :)

All right, list time.

The only possible way I'd be able to get up there is by taking a few buses, and a few trains, and a few more buses.
The only thing that has changed around here are some leaves and the ivy that crawls up a lot of our trees. Oh, and our pinetrees are getting new needles.
Send me cider donuts.

I only have to take one bus. Or my car. But I don't plan on being sober while I'm there, so....yeah. Bus it is. Yay for the university providing one. We have a few that have a little yellowing, but we're still pretty green. But I'm on the water, and it hasn't cooled much yet. We usually stay green pretty long. No. Mine.

That is no way to speak to your brother. Boston hates you too. As does Salem. Where I will be on Halloween. And you will not. So there. tempting...

Well I'm still pretty annoyed that you let some asshat drive your car only to mess up your insurence. *grumble*
Boston can shove it. Salem, on the other hand, loves me. And I love Salem. And you're a bastard.

Well, aside from the insurance problems, it'll make a good story some day. You've never seen Boston, regardless of what your parents tell you. And Salem just called. She called you a whore. Now, feed me the peeled grapes.

I love Fall and Halloween is one of, if not my all around favorite holiday. The only problem is that it marks the beginning of flu and cold season.

Speaking of Halloween, it's almost time to get out my favorite FireFox Halloween theme.

You mean the temperature doesn't normally drop into the 50's and 60's at night in the summer?

Anyway, I am looking forward to Samhain, myself.

And the $1000 damage to your car? *giggles*
You're right, I haven't seen Boston. There was too much smog! Well Salem knows it. ;)

I am in 100% agreement...Fall is awesome, and Halloween is the best holiday of the year. :)

I might try to go down to Madison again this year...it's always fun.

The State Street Halloween Party, an outdoors gathering of several thousand costumed college students and others on the weekend before Halloween, has been a source of recent controversy.

At the peak of the 2005 party, an estimated 100,000 revelers were crammed onto the street at one time. Although very little property damage and no reported injuries occurred during the party, 447 people were arrested between Friday and Saturday nights, primarily for alcohol-related violations. Police decided to end the larger scale Saturday night party around 2 a.m. Finally, unable to coerce the 1,000 remaining partiers to clear the street, police ended the event with the use of riot gear and pepper spray for the fourth consecutive year. According to Mayor Dave Cieslewicz, the huge police presence at the party ultimately cost the city an estimated $750,000.
