Daylight black. That's the usual indication of really, really, really intense storms.

I only see in the X-ray spectrum. Could you rephrase the question in a way i could understand?

when it has been raining just before sunset and the sun finally dips below the clouds but is still above the mountain the sky in the east turns the most glorious peachy color.

Dark maroon. That's when we'll know we're REALLY FUCKING SCREWED.

Black. Dotted by stars, the moon, and other celestial stuff.

Of course this was a really pretty place. The sky was bright long before the sun showed itself and the sun would be down long before it got dark because it's in the Okanagan.
