Notre Dame 0-4!!!

I am getting a very sick joy watching ND suck. I guess I get that pleasure from growing up a Michigan fan and being a student at Purdue.

I can't wait until they march into West Lafayette next Saturday and get stomped by Curtis Painter and the Purdue Boilermakers. I will be in the student section with a fair amount of booze in me (breakfast club) and wearing my "ND Sucks and Rudy Swallows" T-shirt.

Seriously, does Weis get fired this year? I know he has a 10 year deal, but his results the 1st 2 years were the same as Tyrone Willingham's and his 3rd season is worse than Willingham's 3rd.

I know race wasn't an issue in firing Willingham, but it won't look good in the eyes of many if Weis gets another chance next year when Willingham didn't. It would certainly hurt inter-city recruiting and force ND to get their players from the Chicago Catholic League.

For those who hate ND, here are some great anti-fight songs courtesy of the Leyland Stanford Jr. University Marching Band.

Jeer, Jeer at Ole Notre Dame
Squelching the echoes, killing her name
Send the volley cheer on high
They're scared of the thunder in the sky
Although the odds may be great or small
Ole Notre Dame will still lose them all
The whole nation wondered what became of the victors of Notre Dame

---------------------------------------------

Ara is gone and Dan was devine
Stanford kicked Holtz's ass everytime
They don't let sober freshman here
We know the leprechaun is dead
Their team is ugly green little squirts
Leprechaun blood will drip from our shirts
School where the hunchback got its name and Stanford will win the game

----------------------------------------------

Beers, beers for old Notre Dame
Bring on the cocktails, we want champagne
Send the freshmen out for gin,
Don't let a sober sophomore in.
We never stagger, we never fall,
We sober up on wood alcohol,
All the loyal faculty lie
drunk on the bar room floor!

We're looking forward to beating ND this weekend. We got embarrassed 2 years ago when they came into West Laf and kicked our asses. We are really looking forward to beating them. We haven't done so since the 2004 season when we had that hot start and ended up being ranked 5th before losing to Wisconsin.

I'm just happy that a former powerhouse has fallen further from glory than my beloved Florida State. Then again, Weiss will have them back winning again next year. Not sure I can say the same for Bowden.

Old news, they finally won against Penn State.

But it's good for a joke...
How many batteries does it take to beat Michigan?

One AA (I-AA).

When I played football in high school, I played in the same league as Clausen's team (Oaks Christian) did. I was a senior when he was a sophomore. Our teams played twice, once in the regular season once in the semi-finals of the play-offs (both times Oaks Christian destroyed us, just like they did to everyone else.) Anyways, I was the starting d-lineman and both times we played Clausen I sacked him. I was proud because I figured one day I would be able to brag about sacking a famous quarterback (twice). But now, it seems like everyone and there mother will get to sack Clausen, how sad for me. But it's alright, the guy is a complete prick he deserves to be thrown to the turf as many times as he gets and then some.

I guess your accomplishment doesn't seem to be big now. I've never seen someone who sucks so much in the pocket. Even Rex Grossman sucks less.

Never have liked ND never will like ND...they need to get into a conference...even though they would consistently be at the bottom of a conference and wouldn't get their automatic bowl bids...where they go out and get embarrassed like the do now..

As for Michigan the whole big ten conference is a joke...only OSU hasn't looked embarrassing for them this season and they haven't even played anyone yet

And Yes Bowden needs to retire. his prime has long past and I would hate to see such a great coach get fired at least retiring lets him keep his dignity ...

UofL needs a new DC since I'm on the topic of coaches...

I myself am undecided and don't really have a "team" I route for SEC teams except for when UF plays FSU...and I despise Miami so I guess that would make me a Noles fan eh Travaria?

although don't get many of their games around here...

My former boss was a Notre Dame fan. During the summer, whenever her cell phone went off, weh ad to hear the damn ND fight song played at maximum volume because she never heard of "vibrate mode." It's really a shame she got fired - I would have loved to razz her for rooting for a team that lost to the school that got beat by an effing I-AA (which I refuse to call FCS or whatever the hell they're calling themselves now.)

I checked their schedule - and it's too damn bad they might actually win one late in the year, albeit they had to schedule Duke to do it. (Not that Duke is incapable of winning...they did beat Northwestern, thus increasing the suckitude of the Big Ten even more.)

The Big Ten: What The Hell Happaned Here?

Michigan: Lost to Appalachian Fucking State Uni-Fucking-Versity. What the fuck?
Northwestern: Lost to Duke. At home. What the fuck?
Ohio State: Look at their opening schedule.
Youngstown State: Helmets have a letter Y.
Akron: Helmets have a letter A.
Washington: Helmets have a letter W.
Northwestern: Helmets have a letter N.
Courtesy of Columbus sports radio, arrange them in the correct order, and you have a normal BCS reaction to just what kind of shit the Buckeyes scheduled for 2007, a home schedule referred to as "Wisconsin and the Seven Dwarves." Seriously. What. The. Fuck.

It's between the SEC and the Pac-10 this year. Someone will beat Oklahoma (Nebraska if they ever get their act together, maybe) and then it all comes down to USC versus whoever survives the SEC. Why even play the rest of the games? Seriously. What. The. Fuck.

Actually I think USC might drop an in conference game...and I hate the polls every year...the voters put too much emphasis on what programs have historically done....and all that...like Michigan getting a #5 ranking I laughed at that the first day I saw it and then was validated when the lost to App State and Oregon...their win over ND means nothing...anyone could beat the Irish the way they played that game a highschool team could have done better and Mich didn't shine in their win over PSU either....but still I agree the Pac-10 and SEC are the best conferences this year

Honestly, LSU could do the same...whoever comes out of the SEC could easily have one loss. It could be two one-loss teams going for the national title, since OSU will crap the bed at some point, the ACC is too fragile, I don't think Oklahoma can be trusted just yet, and both the SEC and Pac-10 are very difficult.

As for the polls...they need to wait until mid-October to release any polls, kind of like what they do with the official BCS. Sure, Michigan looked like a #5 team early on, but the polls are misleading at times, and the Michigan loss to ASU was one instance of that. I think they're a better team than that and that they could go 10-2 if they get their act together, but it's very easy to see how the early polls can be made to look foolish very easily. Especially early on, when upset potential is so high (hell, the same thing could have happened to Texas as well.)

Meanwhile, we can all continue to laugh at Notre Dame. Golden boy Brady Quinn is in the NFL with his thumbs firmly implanted into his rectal region (although he's playing for a shitty team and choked his way through big games in college,) and the team's possibly looking at 0-8. Charlie Weis needs to go back to pro football, where there's no recruiting.

I think the SEC will come down to LSU and UF and I think they will split 1-1 they play during the regular season and they meet for the SEC title..my predictions would be LSU wins regular season at home...UF wins SEC title at a neutral field...

Hopefully however FSU upsets UF and even though they win the SEC UF doesn't get another title shot with 2 losses

I think FSU had a chance to upset UF last year, which they came close to doing, losing by only a touchdown. Unfortunately, I don't think there's much of a chance this year. UF's only weakness is their pass defense and by the time the two play, their secondary should have improved. Florida State, however, doesn't have much of an O-line nor do they have any good receivers. FSU's defense is good enough to keep them in most games, but Tebow is too much of a dual-threat to be stopped all game long. Plus our idiot middle-linebacker just got arrested and will be suspended for a good long while.

However, I do think LSU is far and away better than UF. I think they are the only school in the country that is in the same league as USC and even though it is unlikely given the tough schedules they both have to play, I would LOVE to see an undefeated USC vs. an undefeated LSU in the National Championship Game.

We invented that, by the way.

And we proudly stole it at some point. We've been doing it since before my freshman year.

I guess we figured that the crappy Spartan offense didn't get enough 1st downs so the cheer is better suited for a team that can move the ball.
