Who could possibly have wanted him dead?

More likely someone who wanted to frame the Syraians and paid the Syrians to make it look like there were people framing the Syrians.

It was clearly the evil zionists wanting to frame the freedom-loving Syrians!

Actually, it might have been Hezbollah. I think it's time for Israel to start offing Hezbollah leaders.

I think its high time that Lebanon follows through on their obligations under UN Resolutions.

But Hezbollah has guns! Even the UN force there won't try and disarm them.

I should have known a person dressed in yellow would be in league with Hezbollah

Which is exactly why the UN should've let Israel finish their work. All the UN did is stop one war so that a larger and bloodier one could be fought 3-5 years later.

That's because it is Lebanon's responsibility.

Proof.

Look at the strange shape on the bottom of the flag...the thing going from left to right, the head of the object being on the left, the handle on the bottom right.
It looks like a wrench!

Now.. to find something related to a library..

Unfortunately, Hizbollah has spent the past seven years building up their arsenal. Hizbollah v. Lebanese Army is not a guaranteed victory. Also, there are Hizbollah politicians in the Lebanese government.

Well I was wondering when this was going to be posted, it was on the news yesterday. Unfortunately the coverage is biased, simply naming a politician by the description 'Anti-Syrian' is an attempt to bias opinion to that Syria is responsible, and although many Lebanese politicians and the US are saying this is the case, they're is of course no evidence pointing to Damascus or anyone else. People should just sit back and realize the civil war wasn't long ago and the scars of it haven't healed. Also I doubt Hezbollah did it, although claims of them being Iran/Syria cronies are rife, in reality they are Lebanese nationalists and the political credibility has meant they have had to sever pretty much all foreign ties in their decision making (except for where they get their weapons of course).

Well "most wanted him dead" would be easier. It being the mid east, theres usually 3 sides to the coin. If it does turn out to be Syria, one must say they don't do "subtle" very well....

Um no. It is stating a fact that the official is anti-Syrian and that it is under investigation on who was responsible for his death. For all we know, it could have been religiously motivated as the lawmaker was a Christian.

Yep

People should just sit back and realize the civil war wasn't long ago and the scars of it haven't healed.

And the fact that Syria has yet to remove its people from Lebanon has not escaped anyone's notice either.

Hezbollah should have been disbanded when Israel pulled out the first time.

I guess 'collateral damage' means nothing to you. The number of casualties would have been significantly greater than the initial count if it had been allowed to continue.

Actually he was a Falangist (variant of fascism).

Yep
Sorry, could you please repeat that again out loud.

Yet it hasn't because the Lebanese military want to make Hezbollah a part of the military as a special irregular force.
