Well today, Murphy's Law came into play today for me at least. For those of you who don't know or don't care, here are the Murphy's Law. Here is a link! (http://roso.epfl.ch/dm/murphy.html) Today, Anything that can go wrong will go wrong came into effect. Because today, of all days the alternator belt was broken on the aircraft, went meant that I couldn't go to Maxton (an aircraft graveyard, I was going to salvage some parts.) and I had to fly down to Monroe instead so the aircraft can be fixed. The radios also gave out but luckily that didn't happen until we were on the ground at Monroe and off the runway. I was able to get a ride back to my home airport because the Flying Club's instructor flew down with me because he had to pick up a Beechcraft Bonanza. So, to make this thread relevant to NSG, when has Murphy's Law ever came into play in your life, and how often do they come into play?

Now for the pictures!

considering the problems with your aircraft... it could've ended up much, MUCH worse.

Murphy is alive and well in my life. to many incidents to just pick one... but let's just say, I've become wary of celebrating any good fortune I get.

Edit: BTW... is that a 1954 Piper?

That is true, I am Thankful that the battery held out until we landed. God if we were up there and the battery gave out, then the engine would've given out as well, and that would've turn a bad situation into a worse one.

Interestingly enough, the "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong" law is the guiding force in my entire life. So to answer your question... all day, every fucking day, for the last twenty-three years! I even hurt my finger on the keyboard whilst typing this post!!!

Where did you go to ground school? What do magnetos do? Do they need a battery?
