For example, let's say the first server is at 5:42 PM, whereas the second is at 5:44, the third at 5:46, and the forth at 5:41. In other words, the first server will serve as zero, while the second is at +2, the third at +4, and the forth at -1.

A user posts a thread on server three at 5:46 PM. Another user posts a reply at 5:47 PM, but this user is on server two, which is two minutes behind server three. As a result, their post will appear to be posted at an earlier time than the actual thread, resulting in a time warp.

Multiple time warps usually occur when multiple posters are on another server apart from the one the thread poster is posting on...usually they also occur because many people see a thread at once and post a quick reply.

In this specific instance, this thread garnered a lot of replies very quickly from people on the same server, thus causing a severe time warp.
