Megan Williams, 23, was discovered at a house near Charleston, West Virginia, on Saturday by police investigating an anonymous tip off. Officers believe she may have been lured to the house by a man she met on the internet.

Her captors allegedly beat, sexually assaulted, and stabbed her, repeatedly using a racial slur as they did so, according to her mother, Carmen Williams. She was forced to eat rat and dog faeces and drink from a toilet, according to the criminal complaint filed in the magistrates court.

The six people arrested include a mother and son and a mother and daughter and are all white.

They face a range of charges, including kidnapping, sexual assault, malicious wounding, battery and giving false information. Police are still hunting for two people they believed drove the woman to the house.

An FBI spokesman in Pittsburgh, Bill Crowley, confirmed that the agency is looking into possible civil rights violations.

One of the six suspects arrested was sitting on the front porch and told police she was alone, but moments later Ms Williams came towards the door limping and with her arms outstretched, crying "Help me," police said.

well I'm not going to a strangers house who I met on the internet nor am I getting in a car with 2 strange people who say they are taking me to said house especially if I was a 23 year old woman

the lesson is don't trust the internet and don't post threads where every wannabe judge posts some horrific way to kill the accused
