BOGOTA (Reuters) - Two clowns were shot and killed by an unidentified gunman during their performance at a traveling circus in the eastern Colombian town of Cucuta, police said Wednesday.

The gunman burst into the Circo del Sol de Cali Monday night and shot the clowns in front of an audience of 20 to 50 people, local police chief Jose Humberto Henao told Reuters. One of the clowns was killed instantly and the second died the next day in hospital.

"The killings had nothing to do with the show the victims were performing at the time of the incident," Henao said in a telephone interview. "We are investigating the motive."

With an entrance fee of under 50 U.S. cents, Circo del Sol de Cali attracts mostly poor Colombians. It pitched it tents in Cucuta, near the border with Venezuela, earlier this month.

"The clowns came out to give their show and then this guy came out shooting them," one audience member told local television. "It was terrible."

Sorry for two news posts in one day, but I couldn't pass up not posting this.

Predictable result of an easily-influenced mind, having suffered some of Stephen King's literature.

I'm sure that thread purported, and I think by you, that LG might well have been involved in the shooting in his role as head of the Clown Mafia - Il Capo di Tutti Frutti - and if not by him, then at least the notorious Goofball Twins.

I'm surprised you're still alive to be honest.

So am I, to be honest, though for a wholly different set of reasons.

The clowns were easy targets. The gunman got them one at a time as they were endlessly piling out of the back of a Volkswagon Beetle. And with those great big red shoes, running was unfortunately not an option. As each one was shot, a little flag that said BANG! came out of the barrel.......

I'm sorry. Was I supposed to take this news item seriously? My bad.

But since it said it attracted mostly poor folk .. well they might have known the clowns.. and they were somehow related with their money. What better way to get them while making a point than in an arena .. possibly in a barrel. :(

I just watched a documentary about the risks to the fair operators and circuses of doing business in the Columbian mountain regions. it's the stronghold area of the anti-government guerrilla, if you don't support them with pesos you pay the price in blood. Although the situation has improved in the region, it is a very hard way to make a living, as the people pay almost one days wages to see a show or enjoy a ride on the bumpercars.

I worked with some Columbians once (no I'm not saying I'm an expert or anything near) .. and they talked about how fucking crazy that place was. Of course they were just regular folk.. I'm sure its spectacular for the rich, and the yuppie tourist broads probably just looooove looking at (and more) all the hot guys. Same everywhere I suppose.

The story is from Feb 22 of this year. One thing you will discover is that there is no follow-up story. That's because the clown killer will never be seen again. He has been dealt with. Believe me when I say that there's no justice like angry clown mob justice. :)

Let this be a lesson to everyone:

I don't read King.

You should . A good King book is IT . If you have seen the movie and you thought it was bad , then you can still read the book because they are both entierly different than on another. If , you liked the movie , it is still good to read the book.

Why did you perpetrate such a foul act of the necromantic arts? Are you trying to raise a horde of undead threads with which to take over the world? Can we get someone in here with some stakes and holy water?

Or even worse, trying to resurrect an army of Clown Zombies.
